The place is opened 24 hours. We had our midnight snack there. Around past 12mn. At that time, there was a moment that the place was full, which was surprising.
I ordered Tapsilog, priced at 150php. It was very good, very tender. Almost the best one I'd had. Beef was very tender and juicy, while the rice was a bit sticky which was my type. Both were cooked very well. For the egg, it was normal. For condiments, vinegar was the best one to use for this one.
For late 2022, pricing it at 150php was a wake up call that inflation has hit us hard. I saw a post last 2018 for this, it was priced at 115, while for 2021, it was priced at 145. For value, price x taste, it's still on a very likable option. Given that it's 24 hours, I guess we can give them that part (price) as convenience.
The place is open space, no windows. Just like an open house type. Well ventilated with fan. Basically a well lit carenderia. Table placement was like a more spacious mang inasal type, but a more tidy one. Parking is also available, good for around 3 to 5, but a tree is blocking the way making it a bit challenging to park.
Overall, experience was great. Maybe a bit lacking since not all items were available at that time. But for this current...
Read moreUpdate: Lowering Atmosphere to one star as of June 2025 because it’s become uncomfortably warm inside this restaurant due to deficient A/C which the owners seem not to care enough to replace. If you want comfortable dining, this is NOT a place to go to, especially on really hot days. The really annoying part is that the tables nearest the only decently working A/C with a fan beside it was being occupied by resting employees.

This is our go-to place for no frills Filipino comfort food. Their silogs are good and the servings are reasonably generous. My only minor complaint is that the ‘si’ part is just plain rice, and not ‘sinangag’ (fried rice). But still, it’s a hearty meal.
Their bulalo is good too. Their other dishes like the pinakbet, lato salad, and deep-fried baby crabs are also straight forward Filipino dishes cooked at home style—which is the best way to prepare Filipino food: no twists, no gimmicks, and no pretensions.
Vivian’s gives us that, that is why we always come back to this place for a hearty good ol’ Filipino breakfast or lunch. It’s one of my family’s favorite restaurants. I wouldn’t trade it for a Sarsa...
Read moreMy first time at Tapsi ni Vivian was way back pre-pandemic at Taytay along Ortigas Extension. Some friends introduced me to this popular tapsihan for a midnight quick bite. I then realized that this was a 24 hour food establishment which is godsend for those who are awake in the middle of the night. The food was great and reasonably priced.
I brought my parents to a newer branch and have our brunch on a Good Friday.
Compared to our experience here in Pasig, Tapsi ni Vivian didn't have many food offerings. We just ordered Pinakbet and Sinigang na Salmon. Each dish is good for two. The taste was ordinary. We do find the food here a bit on the expensive side.
All my excitement in introducing Tapsi ni Vivian to my parents had gone out because of the plain food...
