Actually for us it´s a very special place. In one of our many travels in Asia, my husband made the pool training for a diving license this ressort, which was nice. Some weeks ago, we were on a motorbike tour and spontaneously stopped in Puerto Galera to have lunch at the ressort`s restaurant. After finishing pasta, a soup and canned coke, we didn´t stay longer, but started to continue our motorbike tour. Five minutes later, we both fell asleep while my husband was driving the motorbike, me sitting behind him. We have no memories what happened the next three hours, no memories how we fell on the street, no memories how we were brought into hospital and by whom. Luckily we must have been very slow at the end, because the bike had only some minor scratches, but we both had broken bones. My husband, who was a Judo fighter and therefore knows how to fall safely (if he is awake), had so silly injuries, e.g. wounds at his chin and at the back of his hands but not a single scratch at his palms. We both think, the most likely reason why this happened to us are knockout drops, which are also used in the Philippines for robbing and other stuff. Two days later we went back to Badladz ressort and asked at the reception for the manager. Without knowing the topic we wanted to discuss, the manager had a pile of restaurant bills with her from two days ago - with our bill on the top, so she could immediately check what we said we have ordered. I would say astonishing well prepared - think about it if you are going to go there! Update with some hard facts, because of the response from the owner:
First - We never met the owner personally or talked to him somehow. Second - Our very good travel health insurance payed all medical bills and sent us immediately a business flight ticket back home. There was not a single word from us to anyone in the Philippines concerning paying money for any bill. That`s pure fantasy from the owner. Third - We had a 10 minutes chat to a young police man, asking how the accident happened while we both were unconscious. The hospital staff was very kind to us.
End of the story. Now everybody should make up his own mind, why two sportive persons, not drinking alcohol, fall asleep almost at the same time while self driving a motorbike - shortly after having lunch in...
Read moreAmazingly satisfying visit to Badladz Beach Resort and Restaurant today. I rarely take time to review a restaurant on Google but today, my wife and I were sincerely impressed.
We enjoyed the most delicious Mexican cuisine in the Philippines. Staff are very attentive and professionally pleasant!
We were also lucky to meet the owners who are so friendly and genuinely interested in their customers. They have been supporting tourists to Puerto Galera with honest and useful advice for over 20 years.
The location is definatley perfect, right on a beautiful tropical beach with nicely manicured grass area and a swimming pool with mini waterfall to cool under. It's so cool to relax and be comfortable at Badladz Resort.
They have well equipped rooms for overnight stays, affordable apartments for rent for longer stays.
If you visit Puerto Galera, this is your first stop. Absolutely a paradise...

Waitress serving food can't say any hello, your welcome, thank you, what so ever, just throwing the food on the table.
A true disaster, to be avoided.
Ps. 'Mister' Sean is simply lying and not telling the truth, food was served without any comment. TWO ingredients were missing: ONIONS AND CHEESE.
HIS PATHETIC REACTION stating 'waitress was laughing..' shows exactly what the venue and owner are like....A tourist trap, TO...
