Forget Pampanga Food Tours, Lola Nor's 301 is All You Need!
If you're bringing Manila visitors to Pampanga, skip the food tours and head straight to My Lola Nor's 301. This place isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience that screams authentic Kapampangan cuisine in every bite.
Prepare to be blown away by their legendary kare-kare: rich, nutty peanut sauce cradling melt-in-your-mouth oxtail and perfectly crisp vegetables. It's not just delicious, it's a symphony of textures and flavors.
Their sisig is a revelation. Gone are the dry, overcooked versions you find elsewhere. Here, it's a sizzling masterpiece – juicy, flavorful pork with just the right amount of crunch, begging to be scooped up with warm rice.
And the Shanghai rolls? Forget frozen grocery store imposters. These are handmade wonders stuffed with savory pork and shrimp, crispy on the outside and bursting with umami goodness inside. Don't miss them!
But now, for the star of the show: the tibok-tibok. Imagine this: a delicate pudding made with fresh carabao's milk, rice flour, and galapong (palm sap). It's smooth, creamy, and subtly sweet, with a hint of coconut aroma. Each spoonful is a delightful indulgence, perfect for ending your meal on a high note.
And let's not forget the ambiance. a charming, homey setting with lush greenery and friendly staff who make you feel like family.
My Lola Nor's 301 isn't just a meal, it's a love letter to Pampanga's culinary heritage. So ditch the tourist traps and dive into the real deal. 🇵🇭❤️
Final verdict: 5 stars, no question. This is a must-visit for anyone in Pampanga, Kapampangan or not. You won't regret it!
Bonus tip:Grab a jar of their homemade batirol paste on your way out, you'll thank me later.

Read moreLola Nor’s in San Fernando, Pampanga, has always been a staple for our family every time we visit the Philippines. The food is consistently great, and the restaurant’s recent expansion made it much easier to accommodate our reservation, even with a large group of 13. The professionalism of the staff is commendable, and we appreciate the welcoming atmosphere.
However, during our most recent visit on Dec 29, a couple of things stood out that I think management should look into. My wife, who usually loves their sinigang, found it a bit off this time. It was overly sour compared to the perfect balance we’ve enjoyed in the past. She ended up not finishing it and opted for other dishes instead. We’ve had amazing experiences here before, so I’m hopeful the flavor we love returns next time.
Additionally, there was an issue with the timing of our orders. Two tap silog dishes from our initial order were delayed, and oddly, a second round of orders arrived before those dishes were served. This caused a bit of confusion and left some family members waiting while others had already started eating. It wasn’t a huge issue, but something the staff could improve upon in terms of order rotation and coordination.
Overall, Lola Nor’s remains one of our favorite places to eat when we’re in Pampanga. The food is generally excellent, the service is professional, and the improvements to the facility are a big plus. With a little attention to food consistency and order timing, this place can easily return to its 5-star status in my book. Looking forward to...
Read moreWe went here last January 26 2024 7pm to bring my Kapampangan father and our 2 dogs. We ate all fresco. There was live music and the gardens are beautiful.
We were served by Sir Andrew and he was great 10/10! He was courteous and timely with the food. He is also great with our dogs! The management required our dogs to be in diapers, but we told them that they were well trained and Sir Andrew was quick to talk to the management to allow us. I hope they can reconsider their pet policy to accommodate these instances
The food was great as always. We have been here for a few times already but this was the first time we brought our dogs. We decided to dine here knowing that they are pet friendly.
The kare kare, hito, and tibuktibuk are a must try. Thank you Sir Andrew and...
