Gerry's SM San Pablo (Gerry's Grill) — Restaurant in San Pablo

August 17, 2025 (Evening): My family and I (5 of us) had dinner at Gerry’s Grill, SM San Pablo. After placing our orders, one of the staff gave us 6 glasses of service water. A few minutes later, the Coke we ordered arrived, but they didn’t have extra glasses for it. Since the staff were busy and we couldn’t ask for more, we ended up finishing the service water just so we could use the glasses for the soda.

Not long after, our food arrived: Sinigang na Hipon, Sisig, Kare-Kare, Bangus, and Fried Chicken. The food tasted good, and although the chicken was the last to arrive, it wasn’t a long wait.

However, later that night, early morning, and into the next day (August 18), I began having stomach pain and diarrhea. I was the worst affected, but my little sister had it 4 times, my younger brother once, and my grandmother twice. The only one who didn’t get sick was my mom.

What’s concerning is that I didn’t drink anything else after the service water—not even the Coke. That makes me wonder if either the service water or the food might have been contaminated.

We’re not completely sure what caused it, but the timing of our symptoms right after eating there is too close to ignore. I hope the management takes this seriously and checks both their water source and food safety practices, for the safety of...

First time we dined here was last November 2018,since we were patrons of Gerry's Grill at Greenbelt and Alabang we had our family date here. The food was good. Grilled baby squids , just perfect! Pork BBQ soft ,tender, juicy and so savory ! Inihaw na liempo is good too!Crispy pata is just okay .Thai fried rice is superb, calamari nothing special about the spice .The lumpia shanghai was our fave! Fried chicken is kinda dry. Kare-Kare is bland and portioning is so small. Customer service servers were attentive. Rating : GOOD

Fast forward. This March 2019 we had our lunch. We ordered some big grilled squid which is i come to love back in 2002.. why it's not served on sizzling plates? Pork BBQ ,we're surprised as it seems to taste different from the last time (matabang).Lumpia Shanghai was okay .Thai fried rice, since we liked it the last time we ordered here, mom asked to order again and it's sad as I get to munch on some little shells (don't like the feeling),there's the chopsuey which is totally terrible, very bland and the cabbages and cauli were under cooked! And lastly,the water they were serving has an after taste . Good thing we have our fruit shakes to mask the unpleasant taste.Customer service is all good, no complaint on that. Excellent Service and Delicious Food!

I had such a wonderful dining experience here! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable, gave us helpful recommendations from the menu, and were attentive without being overbearing.

The food came out quickly, and everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. What stood out the most, though, was how accommodating they were — one of us had dietary restrictions, and they went out of their way to adjust the dish without any hesitation. It’s rare to find a place that takes that kind of care.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual lunches and more special dinners. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend for anyone who values great food and even better service!
