Ambience is relaxing and has a chill vibe. Has a very spacious parking lot. The drinks there needs improvement specifically on non coffee drinkers, tho the coffee was great. We didn't order much since we had a late lunch that day but we did order a few take out. Servers were really friendly but some of them needs better training in menu & food knowledge.

For food, the general taste were good and the portion size were great but most of it were overcooked and could have done better in terms of flavor balancing.

Starting from their salad.. I ordered a garden salad (since I think that's the only salad they have on their menu) the balsamic vinegarette and herbed olive oil were a great match with the choices of greens, the crunchiness of the wallnuts, saltiness of the mild parmesan and the sweetness of the raisins (not so sure what kind of raisins were there bit it tasted like cranberry raisins at first and the rest was ordinary raisins.) It was almost well balanced, the sad part there were the overcooked chicken that they put over so friendly. My palate were overwhelmed by the dryness of the chicken breast on top of it all. It was a bummer indeed.

Next the Creamy Mushroom Pasta. The the shitake mushroom were deliciously sautéed well that harmonized with the mild parmesan cheese sadly the cream sauce were a bit curdled ( it was not noticeable at first since there were quite a lot of parmesan cheese on it.) While the pasta on the other hand was almost al dente. Almost.

Lastly the Margherita pasta. It tasted like the exact version of a margherita pizza that you expect, except it was layed over on a bed of overcooked pasta. The acidity of the tomato sauce were a good match with the melted cheese and was seasoned well. Was looking for the Basil tho or some type of herb that would boost up the flavor. Oh well.

Over all price range? I think it was worth it (??) Base on portion size. Their pasta are usually good for sharing (about 2 - 3) Base on flavor and other factors... oofff.. maybe? I guess? Well. Let's see on our next visit.

My mom liked their cheesy loaf bread. Haven't tried much of their pastry and bread, hopefully when I come back.

Oh almost forgot their CR were clean just forgot if they have a bidet, but they had a lot of toilet paper on stand by so you don't...

Cafe Agapita is one of those hidden gems where the cozy ambiance meets great coffee and delicious pastries. If you're someone who enjoys taking a break from the hustle and bustle, this is a perfect spot to unwind and indulge in some comfort food. Whether you're coming in for a coffee date or just need a quiet place to read, this café gives you that warm, inviting vibe.

Pros:

Charming Ambiance: The interior is cozy and laid-back, with lovely decor that makes it perfect for a relaxing afternoon. You’ll immediately feel at ease when you walk in.

Great Coffee & Pastries: The coffee is excellent—smooth, flavorful, and not overly bitter. Pair it with one of their freshly baked cakes or pastries, and you're in for a treat.

Friendly Service: The staff are polite, friendly, and always ready to recommend something from the menu. They make you feel right at home.

Perfect for a Quick Break: Whether you’re meeting a friend or just spending time alone, the space is perfect for a quick catch-up or a moment of solitude.

Affordable: Considering the quality of food and drinks, the prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for regular visits.

Cons:

Limited Seating: While it’s cozy, it can get crowded, especially during peak hours. You may have to wait for a table if it’s a busy time.

Menu Variety: While the coffee and pastries are delicious, the menu could use a bit more variety for those looking for more meal options.

Parking Can Be Tight: If you're driving, parking might be a bit of a challenge, especially during busy hours.

Recommendation: Try their signature coffee with any of their freshly baked pastries—everything is delicious and makes for a perfect pairing. If you're into sweets, the Ube Cheesecake is a must-try!

Cafe Agapita is a lovely spot to enjoy a quiet coffee break or indulge in some comforting treats. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve found your own little corner of peace in the middle of the city.

NEVER AGAIN, Cafe Agapita!

We came in as 4 pax and was told to wait while our table is being prepared. After a couple of minutes we were told that only the al fresco tables are available because all tables are occupied.

When asked how long is the wait time, we were told they can't provide an assurance. I even asked if all of their guests came in at the same time since they can't give an estimated waiting time. We're initially okay with al fresco since we can't do anything anyway. We then asked if we can just take a short tour just to see the place since it's our first time.

We went inside and to our surprise, there are plenty of vacant tables, both on the lower level and the second floor. So we asked if those are reserved. They seemed to be caught off guard and we're told to wait and they will check. Upon looking at their computer, it's indeed available. We were eventually led to our table in the lower level.

We ordered appetizers (tender chicken strips and potato wedges) and our main dish were bagnet and caldereta and bagnet aglia olio pasta, if I'm not mistaken plus slices of cakes. We're aware of the wait time so we waited.

It has been almost 30mins and our appetizer isn't served yet so we called the attention of a waiter who went outside to check. In less than 5mins he came back with our appetizers AND our main dish! The appetizers are no longer hot and the rice on our meals are dry! Dry as if it has been waiting for a while outside while waiting to be served. The caldereta beef wasn't good as well. It was very dry and feels like you're eating a piece of rubber!

Thankfully, we were served with service water while waiting for almost 30mins. But there wasn't any plate for our appetizers! We didn't order any drinks because we plan on going to Tagaytay after. Instead of eating our cakes, we ended up just having it as take out. It was a very bad experience to begin with. Will never visit this...

Warning: Looks Can Be Deceiving Place: This is not just a cafe; it’s an actual restaurant. When we visited, the road leading to the restaurant was under repair. The street was narrow and dark, making it a challenging drive, but there were plenty of parking spots, and the attendants were friendly and helpful. Food: We ordered the Agahan hamburger, Bagnet pasta, and iced coffee. The burger was fantastic; we loved the longganisa twist, making it a perfect meal for any time of day, complete with tasty potato wedges on the side. We couldn’t finish it all but happily took the leftovers home for breakfast the next day. The pasta was decent but overly salty and oily. While the generous slab of bagnet on top was appreciated, it felt excessive and unnecessary. The iced coffee was fine, reminiscent of Starbucks. Price: We paid almost 1,000 for two, which seemed reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of the food. Service: The hostess was a sweetheart! She seated us quickly and was very polite and friendly. The rest of the staff could take some personality lessons from her; she was a superstar! Unfortunately, the rest of the staff seemed to lack basic customer service skills. They stood around staring at diners, making the experience uncomfortable. They didn’t inform us of how long our food would take, and we had to follow up multiple times just to get served. Most of the staff were grumpy and unresponsive when approached, often ignoring us or acting as if they didn’t hear or see us. Overall: It’s worth a visit for the experience, but don’t come hungry or hangry. It’s a better spot for couples than for families or large groups. Many people leaving the restaurant seemed disappointed, likely taking photos of the aesthetic surroundings to compensate for the poor staff experience and long wait times for food.
