AMBIENCE Through the years, the branch basically looks the same from the front and inside, but there seems to be changes towards the left and back of the restaurant. Off-street parking is available. As always, it was really snug inside. FOOD Boneless Bangus is still on top of my list, being salted perfectly once again. Size was gigantic, parts were soft and tasty, and there were hardly any traces of lost fish bones. Grilled Pork Liempo was typically good and the Grilled Squid was acceptably chewy and easy to cut. Sinigang na Bulalo was second to the bangus in my list; huge, extremely meaty, delicious, and terrific for sharing with family and friends. Platter Plain Rice was a good serving for five pax. SERVICE Service was surprisingly and exceptionally fast and they also acknowledged our request for extra bulalo broth! We were also assisted with parking and leaving the branch.

Good food at a lesser price compared to restos in Tagaytay. Bulalo( 680) - The soup is tasty and there is plenty of meat and the vegetables were not overcooked, the bone marrow and meat is still intact compared to most restos that serve Bulalo. Fried Boneless Bangus (580) - the bangus is huge, almost twice the size of my palm. It's fresh and good if paired with chili mansi sauce. I went with my parents and they accept senior discount. They also have a 10% service charge. Staff: Friendly and accommodating. Always smiling. 🙂 Ambiance: Homey vibe with plain indoor decoration - pretty outdated but you'll go here for the food anyway so not that it matters much.

This is the original branch of the legendary LZM Restaurant. The founder sometimes comes out in her trademark duster to greet the guests. Try the bulalo, the chicharon bulaklak, and the fried bangus. It’s all superb. The atmosphere is at three stars because this isn’t where you go to propose to your fiancé. This is where you take your friends or your longtime significant other for a great meal that tastes like it was cooked with love.
