Second visit in this hidden gem. I love that it’s not crowded since it’s hidden. Love the surrounding greenery as well-so serene, breezy and loved the sound of birds. For me, they serve the best lasagna. It’s the best that I’ve tasted. Not sweet, not too sour, not too creamy, not too meaty, not too cheesy, just the right balance. It’s perfect. We also tried their other specialty, the ravioli in tomato- I think it lacks sauce. The spinach overpowers it. The lasagna is the bomb. The Cheese pizza is good also, very simple yet satisfying. Prosciutto pizza was okay. I’ve yet to try the blueberry tart since we just had it to go bec we’re already full. The ternate tea -too sweet for my taste. Lemon granite- serving is too small. The tiramisu is good too. Will definitely be back for their lasagna and will try the other pizzas too.
Btw this is a self service resto, you’ll have to pick up your food, & clean as you go. The proceeds from their earnings goes to the pregnant mothers & their babies who are...
Read moreA delightful dining experience with authentic Italian dishes run by nuns.
We haven't tried the pastas and pizzas but we came here for coffee and dessert.
We ordered tiramisu and semifreddo (which is a pistacchio ice cream sandwiched by chiffon cake), and paired with a lungo.
A nun takes your order by the first window and you'll be given a number.
Find a table while waiting, and when your order is ready, it comes out of a second window, a bell is rung, and a number is displayed (no they dont call it out). You pick up your order and enjoy.
When done, you clear your own utensils and place it at a designated rack in one corner.
There's a toilet with soap and water.
If you walk outside the dining hall, there are extra huts where you can dine. Surrounded by antipolo trees and katmon (phil native tree)
On the other side is a garden with exotic plants, that leads...
Read moreI definitely love my experience dining here. The place is tucked away a kilometer away from the main road, but make no assumptions, how you felt at your high school retreat is how it felt eating here. Peaceful, serene, you name it.
The food definitely deserves a spotlight. Especially the Lasagna. Can't get over how amazing the cheese was with that one. The arrabiata and margherita pizza were okay, but weren't really the highlight. I just hoped their mashed tomatoes (puree?) is a condiment as it definitely would've elevated the pizza (which we did when we had it for takeaway).
We ended the meal with their Tiramisu and Cocoa. It was quite a hit. The combo just slaps. Try it.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you happen to get bored with ye old overpriced Tagaytay restaurants. Don't forget to bring...
