Payag Restaurant — Restaurant in Tagbilaran

I was supposed to be in a different restaurant but turns out to be great. Payag is a sister company of Jo's Chicken Inato which is great. We love Sizzling Gambas which is spicy and sweet, the Lumpiang Shanghai is savory and not too much fatty, there is also a version of their Kinilaw which is heaven and Tinolang Isdang Tangigue is superb. Payag's chicken barbecue is the best example of Bohol's unique version of the"inasal". If Bacolod's chicken inasals goes well with their chicken sauce, the ones here in Payag's (and all around Bohol) goes well with a salty fish sauce condiment we call here as patis. If you're visiting Bohol for the first time, Payag's chicken inasal (barbecue) is a must-try.
