I went here last month with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday.
The food we ordered were tasty though the garlic rice was too salty for our liking and some of the food servings were too small compared to the price you paid for. 🫤
The main issues I had were:
The restaurant did not honor senior citizens' discounts at all. I was very disappointed by this because we never had this issue with other restaurants regarding the discounts. We ordered 1 set meal and a bunch of other food from their menu kaya naisip ko na they don't apply SC discounts on set meals kaya I asked one of their staff if they could just apply the discount on the food that were not part of the set meal we ordered pero di sila pumayag. Nagulat at nagalit nga yung senior citizens na kasama ko but I assured them na ako na ang bahala para kumalma sila 🙃
Honestly, very shocked ako na they did not apply any senior citizen discounts to any items from our order kahit na may dalang vaild senior citizens ID yung dalawa kong kasama. I don't know kung anong rationale ang pinairal nila regarding this kasi we never had this issue with other restaurants kasi they would apply the discount sa buong order regardless of we availed the set meal or not; minsan naman, they would only apply the discount sa specific meals na kinain ng senior citizen. I mean, restaurant naman nila yun so I guess they have the right to grant or deny the discounts pero may law about this and from what happened with our dinner at this specific branch, I guess exempted sila from this??!! Make it make sense 🤡
Sana nasusunod yung order ng customer. Medyo naguluhan ako dito because right after we were seated, they gave out a form to be filled out stating all the food/beverages we want to eat kasi nga naman very convenient compared to other order-taking methods. Sinulat ko lahat ng gusto namin kainin then submitted the form to one of their staff. We waited for around 30 minutes bago naserve yung pagkain.
Di ko na napansin na may isang order pala na di naisama kahit na nakalagay naman sa order form yung food and quantity (di rin naman sya naisama sa bill later on kaya I didn't have to pay for it) tapos in the middle of our dinner, biglang lumapit yung isang staff then asked me if it's okay na 2 platters of garlic rice ang na-punch nila sa order namin instead of 2 cups lang kasi sobra sa amin yung 2 platters. I asked if 2 cups lang ang babayaran namin sa bill but they said na since 2 platters ang na-punch nila, we'd have to pay the platters' prices and iuuwi raw namin yung matitira dun which left me puzzled kasi ba't naman babayaran yung di ko naman in-order in the first place? So I asked the staff if pwedeng i-void or cancel na lang nila yun. Hesitant pa sya pero sabi nya ask nya raw sa mga kasama nya of pwede bang ganun na lang ang mangyari. Eventually, he came back and informed me na 2 cups of garlic rice na ang nailagay sa bill namin 🌚
Overall, our dinner experience could've been better. The staff that assisted us were nice and accommodating. The food is good; may ibang menu items lang na need pa i-adjust ang seasonings kasi medyo maalat.
I hope you grant senior citizens' 20% discounts to all of your customers regardless if solo meal or set meals ang order nila. We'd still come back to Kuya J some time pero baka sa ibang...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kuya J Restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly enjoyable experience from start to finish.
The service was outstanding the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and seated promptly. Our server was polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to respond to any of our requests.
The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, perfect for both family gatherings and casual get-togethers. The food was delicious, served hot and fresh, and the portions were generous for the price. You can really tell that they take pride in both the quality of their dishes and the satisfaction of their customers.
Overall, I had a great experience at Kuya J. It’s not just the food that brings people back, but the consistent, high-quality service that makes every visit feel special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place with good food, good vibes, and...
Read moreBeen here twice, once for halo halo and the other for lunch. Food was soso, service was very slow, the waiter didn't know how to take orders,he kept coming back and forth for our orders. No halo halo available before lunch. The pancit palabok served which was "salo" which he gave us a choice between single and salo but the salo wasn't enough for one person so we ordered another serving. The first serving didn't have calamansi but the second serving did have a piece of calamansi but not enough sauce, chicharon and tinapa flakes. The palabok noodles wasn't soaked enough in water that it was like eating raw noodles. I asked to speak with the chef, I was told he'll come by our table but never did! Because we were hungry, we devoured the food. We had to ask for a serving of water because the noodles were a bit dry. My order of buko juice came after the first order of palabok. Improve your service and...
