Starbucks SM City Tarlac — Restaurant in Tarlac City

Kinda disappointed with the new barista named “Rex” for his approach when I just tried to ask a question about the plastic cup and lid of my order iced coffee. I’m not used to plastic cups anymore because usually I get my order in the Metro using paper cups for iced/hot drinks.

Prior to that I requested for a stawless/sip lid and he gave me one since my order was prepared with a whipped cream using a normal frappucino lid which I don’t prefer and forgot to tell no whip. My plan is to just change the lid after I scrape off the whipped cream.

The lid he gave does not fit to my cup so I went back to his station and tried to ask because I’m also confused, before I even finish my question about the cups, he started to cut me off and miscomprehend my question as if I’m trying to blame him and making me look like I don’t know the difference between iced and frappucino drinks🙄. His response is really out of context, I’m asking about the plastic cups and he assumed that I’m complaining about my drink . When I finished my question and said “because the lid you gave me is too small to my cup” he then realized he made a mistake. He should know the right size of lid to my grande order. The approach is just too offensive plus the loud voice, he sounds irritated and I felt embarrassed because there are other customers waiting for their drinks too.

Hope he can work on that opportunity to let the customer finish talking before making assumptions and making a response. For now, I’ll assume it’s just a bad day for him or maybe he’s just...
