Restauracja Shuum — Restaurant in Kołobrzeg

Shuum a'la carte Restaurant remains an exceptional high-end dining experience in Kolobrzeg, consistently maintaining its top spot on my list. Over the years, they have consistently upheld a high standard, delivering great service, fresh produce, and phenomenal dishes.

One of my personal favorites is the Tatar, complete with a slow-cooked egg yolk and pickled mushrooms. Though I did miss the presence of pickled cucumbers, the dish was nonetheless great. For our main courses, we opted for the duck and steak. We ordered the steak medium rare, and I must say that it was the best steak I've tested in Poland to date. It was succulent, melt-in-your-mouth, and absolutely delicious. In addition the sauce, , was a revelation, elevating the dish to new heights of flavor.

The sauce was also a standout in the duck dish. While the duck wasn't as extraordinary as the steak, it was still a well-prepared, enjoyable dish. For dessert, we were treated to a delightful finale that paired excellently with a glass of Tokai dessert wine. This was a thoughtful suggestion from our highly professional and knowledgeable waiter.

Na początek zaznaczę, że staram się obiektywnie ocenić dzisiejsze wrażenia.. ale były dużo słabsze niż zazwyczaj. Oceniam stosunek jakości do cen, a te są jednymi z wyższych w Kołobrzegu. Byliśmy tu już kilka razy podczas pobytów w Kołobrzegu, jedzenie to zawsze była czysta przyjemność i kompozycja smaków była ponadprzeciętna. Warto było przez chwilę cieszyć się tak wyjątkowymi daniami. Tym razem było przeciętnie, począwszy od zupy rybnej (36 zł) podanej w małej miseczce, z ogromną ilością marchwi, która bardziej smakowała jak warzywna. Potem była sałatka (a'la Cezar, 59 zł). Kurczak bardzo suchy i malutko mięsa. Na koniec makaron tragiatele, z cheddarem, gdzie smak sera zdominowany był przez kwaśny smak. Brakowało mi w tym balansu, może jakiegoś chipsa z bekonu? Danie było w końcu vege.. nie znam się... smakowało specyficznie. Tym razem w Kołobrzegu za 70% ceny jadłem lepsze sałatki. Tak czy inaczej, oceniam tylko to co miałem okazję spróbować. Wierzę, że inne dania są dopracowane do perfekcji :) Na plus...

Definitely a bit on the pricey side for this area, but you get what you pay for. Great service. Excellent selection of wines and some superb local craft beer as well. The food was great and there was clearly a lot of thought put into the dishes. All in all a lovely evening, would...
