Although i’ve been living in warsaw for 1.5 years, i had the opportunity to visit Efes Kebap in Saska Kepa for the first time and i had been hearing positive reviews from everyone until i stepped inside. i asked the English speaking waitress if i needed to make a reservation and she said i needed to with a grim face. then when i asked when they were available, she told me there was a table available in the corner and i sat myself there. i expected her to show me to the table and accompany me as it's usually done in restaurants but she didnt. table was full of leftover food and glasses from the previous customers as i showed in the pictures. Later menu arrived and i ordered the meatballs with cheese. when my order arrived i noticed that there was no cheese in the meatballs. i told the waitress who took my order that i ordered a meatballs with cheese but what came was a normal one. she said cheese had been grated on it, but i said there was no residue or taste of cheese. neither in taste nor in appearance, as I also showed in the pictures. Later a young man who spoke turkish came to the table and i explained the situation to him. hee accepted the situation and wanted to offer me different food options. He was a kind volunteer to help but the bad experience i had would never be overshadowed. Unfortunatelyi must share this bad experience despite the efforts of that young person. if necessary precautions are taken in advance they wouldn't need to exert extra effort. i never write reviews to criticize any place and i always share my experiences...

However, this is exactly what the kebab at Efes Kebab did to me!! As that first bite of food passed through my lips and into my palette I felt more alive than I have ever felt in my life!!!! It was as though I had a spiritual awakening and I was experiencing life as it was intended to be lived!! The existential experience Efes Kebab gives you has the power to transform the very core of your being for the better!!! I for one shouted aloud, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!, as I chewed through the succulent lamb, live spices, rich garlic sauçe, fresh lavash, and crisp vegetables while walking down Francuska!! On this Palm Sunday, after you eat this food, you will have no choice but to shout from the rooftops, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel! To hll with therapy, medication, self help books, and going on holiday!!! To hll with them I say!! If you want real healing, joy, emotion, and change in this life then get your a*s down to Efes Kebab and devour the living es out of this food!! No regrets!! No shame!!...
Read moreEphesus was an interesting place. In the Acts of the Apostles we read how Paul got into hot water with the Diana/Artemis worshippers there. Later we see the wonderful letter he wrote to the Church there, about how Christ and the Church are like the marriage of husband and wife. And unfortunately that's what happened. Today there are churches in Ephesus but only dead ones with the lights gone out, as the Selcuk Turks invaded Asia minor from the East in the eleventh century and switched out the lamps of Christianity across that whole area and eventually across much of Europe also.
But in THIS Ephesus, here in Warsaw, you can at least get a...
