Watch out! Magic happens here.
It's difficult to come here by accident. The location is not obvious and it is obviously distant from a traditional foody places.
And yet you find yourself here somehow - magic already works. But, when you look at it from an angle and distance of the last 20-30 steps between parking and the doors, you may doubt you found the right one. The closest neighborhood does not look attractive and welcoming. It looks empty and deserted in fact. Still, you make the last 20 steps, peak through big window or open doors and you cannot go back. It pulls you inside (if you are open for magic). Then, you will be fully enchanted, if only you dare to open you mouth (if it is not wide open from astonishment already) and speak to the owner, who must be obviously master of hospitality witchcraft.
Well, I saw many places, in many corners of the world. I ate from many pots. My teenaged daughter has to go this road yet. Dressed for a classy restaurant she expected for celebrating wonderfull Sunday of the Children's Day, she was not prepared for a lunch in a souk eatery. But the magic was working. Slowly at the beginning, melting the ice of disbelief showing clearly with all her body language. First slurp of tardy, deep red and purple and almost dense hibiscus drink was not breaking moment yet but worked like "church bells" or fresh breeze. I made order (also for her still feeling closed) which was great chance to talk to the owner - wonderful man. I chose two sets - plates. They were served in reasonably short time as the place is really small, menu short, other earlier guests were already finishing and next were only yet to come, pulled by magic of this unique place.
Simple, traditional food - great fresh hummus and rare and not wide known in Poland - ful (foul) simmilar to hummus but made of broad (fava) beens and plenty of fresh or marinated vegetables did the last part of magic and turned my daughter into who she usually is - sparkling, talking, involved, smiling and giggling girl.
The ful was so good we ordered a "refill" although I was trying to protest feeling that the two plates we shared were almost more we could have. We ate all and cleaned plates. And I know, I'll make an effort to reach that distant location and let be enchanted again. And my daughter said she would come...

I saw this restaurant on the map with high reviews and said myself to try it out, and boy, did I try it out. Went for recommendation of the owner, who is the sweetest and most friendly owner I probably ever seen. Got falafel with hummus, salad and fried egg plant, and must say it was one of the best food of this type I ever had, if not the best. The place is really small and everything is prepared in front of you, freshly and quite quickly. It's truly a small...
