We have visited the restaurant before with two Portuguese friends and the food was great and hence returned, but this time just the two of us. It's in a great location just by the Tejo bay (see photo). We reserved in advance and arrived on time.

It wasn't very busy then but a lot of tables seemed to be reserved. The service was very clunky and we seemed to have four different waiters all night and we were constantly rushed to order etc until we wanted a waiter and then they seemed to evaporate.

We were seated and presented with the normal cover food - bread, olives, crostini and a fish based home made pate (very good), soft fresh cheese, plus an octopus salad which we didn't order. Many times this has happened (we live here) and it's usually a dish - on the house - so to speak. This wasn't the case and were charged €6 for the privilege.

We chose Ta large Turbot (Pregado) to share which wasn't cheap but fresh and very well cooked. The wine list is extensive and again the bottle we chose was superb.

During dinner we were attacked by a swarm of mosquitos (which is not the fault of the restaurant of course) but seriously detracted from the experience.

The bill was €106 and for Portugal at the very top end for a place like this. The food was great but the service left much to be desired and we wont...

Slightly more pricey than the average seafood restaurant but the setting is also more up market. You can book for 12h00 or 14h00. This seems to be common these days with most restaurants in Portugal. After being greeted at the door you are taken through the seafood display area so that you can order your dish. It's a nice touch to speed up the ordering process. However the service felt rushed as they were looking at filling our table for the 14h00 slot. Other than that,...

Very very good restaurant, the food was fantastic. The chef help us select the sea food we wanted and did a recommendation of the lulas that was amazing. You must try at the end the farófias the best I have eaten in PT. This restaurant is worth to cross the Vasco de Gama bridge to come and celebrate or have a meal. The owner is present and always helping, what shows in the service and food. Thank you for a great meal.

Always a pleasure. Time to time we return and enjoy the time with friends and Family. The staff and the new owner continues the Business and stay present and pleasant. Easy to access but in the summer difficult to park. Its Always better to reserve first. Avoid the crowded time 1-2 pm. Portuguese cuisine special dedicated to fresh fish from de Portuguese coastline. Price $$$$
