To start, they offer Italian and Indian food. I do not know the relationship between both types of cuisine, but there you go.
Well, we have visited that place several times now and as they say, we have become regulars. The venue is not very attractive (I would be glad to give it a lick of paint) but their Indian food is so delicious and - if you have ever been to Great Britain - as good as any Indian restaurant there. Believe me!!
Their dishes are very nicely spiced but If the dish you are ordering is not hot enough, just tell them and they will make sure you get what you wish for. They have a very limited selection of wine, but they are all good and not expensive.
Desserts are not our thing but we tried their mango, coconut and walnut ice-cream once. DELICIOUS! We ate ice-cream ever since.
Their dishes are very reasonably priced. Even their drinks.
As I said earlier, they also provide Italian food but we don't have any experience with their Italian menu though.
The venue is a family business. They all speak Indian (of course), English and Portuguese and they are all very helpful and friendly.
A must go! You won't be...
Read moreOur family of 7 had an excellent Father's Day 2024 dinner at this small Indian restaurant in the wonderful town of Alochete, Portugal. The full range of appetizers, entrée and desserts we ordered were absolutely delicious! The service was very personable and professional.
Thank you very much for the couple of appetizers - Paneer Pakoda & Onion Pakoda - that were provided on the house!! Appreciate it!!
We had ordered Butter Chicken, Navratna Korma, Palace Paneer, Punjabi Dal, Vegetarian Biryani, Peshawar Naan, Garlic Naan, Roti, Samosas and Mango Lassi!!
The taste was outstanding! Having had Punjabi cuisine around the world, this was by far very very close to the food I have had in Amritsar, India. Finger licking good!
The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and walking distance from the Alochete boardwalk and lighthouse.
A definite foodie destination next time in Alochete...

The staff also told us my order would originally contain cheese because I missed that description but were able to veganize the dish with no problem to me.
Most important, the food was absolutely delicious. I loved the small town feel of the surroundings and that we could sit outside.
Outdoor seating was a huge plus, as hosting events outside is an important way to help avoid the spreading and catching...
