We are 2 travellers from Canada and ran into this restaurant on the way going to Cristo rei Statue and did expect this restaurant was such amazing. It is really a gem hidden in a small town. We ordered one pre-set sea food dinner for one person and shared by the two of us. It included bread, olives, cheese and butter as starter and a huge portion of 4 selections of fish, prawn and clamshell fish and they all tasted fantastic! They were so fresh and cooked perfectly. We both agreed that this was the best sea food we have ever had since we started travel a week ago in Portugal. There was an alcohol drink also came in the set and we had a beer and it was good too. After the sea food we have already felt so full but the chef (I believe he is the owner too)encouraged us to try the sweet liquor and dessert. So we tried a tawny port and another sweet wine and both were good. Just there weren't enough words to express our satisfaction about this dinner. Best of best, it was unbelievable the final bill was just €27.5! It is impossible you can have such sea food at such price in Lisbon, or Lagos and in Albufeira. We would highly recommend anybody ever been to Almada to go try this restaurant. You won't be...
Read moreWe have had the most amazing experience here. Great hospitality, great food, fresh and delicious. The set menu with two fish is THE ONE!! We thought it was for one person but we shared it and it was perfect for two. The table was already set with bread and olives. The two fish were charcoal grilled right nearby in clear sight of the table. The salad was so fresh and basic. The dessert in the set menu was a selection of slices of cake. What a spread. Delicious and authentic. The wine that came as part of the set meal was a fresh, fruity, light white. After the meal we were served delicious coffee. Really good quality and liqueurs! The man who served us was so helpful even though he spoke very little English. It didn't matter. He made it clear we were very welcome even though we appeared to be the only tourists. What a find! If/when I come to Lisbon again I will make the trip across the river to go there again. Perfect for lunch. More authentic than anything we tried in the centre of town. Well worth the ferry or metro ride over the bridge from the main town and 3 mins walk from the Santuario de Cristo Rei which is a...

I enjoyed an incredible lunch at this typical Portuguese restaurant. The atmosphere was bustling in the best way, with a warm, welcoming energy.
The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and hospitable. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel right at home, as if I was visiting family.
For the meal, I had fresh grilled sardinhas, and they were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, with a flavor that took me straight to the coast of Portugal. The quality and quantity of food made the lunch incredibly affordable.
One delightful surprise was the bottle of digestive that the waiter left on the table, telling " its self-service my friend". It’s rare to find such generosity, and it added a unique touch to an already fantastic experience.
Overall, this is a spot I’d highly recommend to anyone. I’ll definitely be returning whenever I...
