An authentic little Portuguese experience! If you're going to see the statue of Christ, I'd 100% recommend calling here after for lunch for the menu do dia! There is no menu to actually look at, and nobody spoke English. You chose either meat or fish, which was then cooked on the bbq before your eyes. You choose a drink, and bread, olives, salad and either chips or potatoes are brought to the table. Then there is a homemade dessert included to finish. We had an extra drink each, and the bill was 25€. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was probably the best meal we had in Lisbon, taking into account the whole experience.

> This is such a lovely, truly local tavern (tasca) or small restaurant. The food is excellent — we had sea bream and sea bass. They also serve snails, and if you want to try them, you’re in the right place! They are incredibly flavorful. Prices are very reasonable. our meal of two fish, salad, a portion of snails, and five beers was just €30. When we arrived, only three old friends were in the restaurant, and with good conversation, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner.

simple, with all the loveliness of a local resraurant, and the most delicious grilled fish i've ever had (It melts in my mouth!). I don't even see a menu, just say you want fish or meat and if its fish you get to pick the type. Loved the taste, the casual mood of this place, and the sight of the old couple working at the grill - i can only imagine the history! Even the potatoes and olives are very tasty!

Nice fish which is cooked on a barbeque.

They don't speak English but the staff are nice and the food is good.

Prices are comparable with other local places. Not too expensive. We paid €10 for a meal of fish, potatoes, salad with olives and bread, including a soft drink and a shot of espresso afterwards.

Also it's nice that they're open after lunch (so you can go for a very late lunch) when most other places are closed.

I wish they'd do something to get rid of the...
