Piri-piri — Restaurant in Almada

[ENG Bellow] Não é amigável nem adequado para veganos/vegetarianos, gestão horrível e rude. A minha família decidiu almoçar neste restaurante por uma ocasião especial, sabendo que eu e a minha parceira somos veganos, quem organizou o almoço quis confirmar com o restaurante se estavam dispostos a fazerem-nos uma opção vegana, disseram que sim. Sendo cético quanto a isso (conhecendo a reputação do restaurante), a pessoa que organizou o almoço foi lá 2 vezes (ontem e anteontem) para reconfirmar se nos fariam algo vegano, mais uma vez disseram que sim. Não foi para minha surpresa, quando nos perguntaram o que queríamos, disseram que não tinham nada, mas podiam ferver alguns legumes e servir com batatas fritas e arroz. Eles serviram toda a gente e a nossa comida demorou 40 minutos para chegar à mesa. O que vêem na imagem é o que nos serviram, agora digam-me, acham que isto é aceitável num restaurante? Não é, eu poderia ter cozinhado isso em casa por menos de 1 euro e o valor nutricional desta refeição é quase nulo, batata frita com arroz e brócolos não é uma refeição decente e muito menos num restaurante que não cobra pouco. Quando a pessoa que organizou o almoço confrontou a gerência sobre isto, eles disseram: "Tivessem trazido comida de casa" bem, se soubéssemos que eles nos iriam servir uma refeição tão má, teríamos feito isso antes.

My family decided to have a family lunch at this restaurant, knowing me and my partner are both vegan, they confirmed with the restaurant if they were willing to make us a vegan option, they said yes. Me being skeptical about this (knowing the reputation of the restaurant), the person organizing the lunch went there 2 times (yesterday and the day before) to re-confirm if they would make us something vegan, again they said yes. Not to my surprise, when they asked us what we wanted they said they didn't have anything but could boil some legumes and serve with some fries and rice. They served everyone and our food took 40 minutes to get to the table. What you see in the image is what we got, now tell me do you think this is acceptable in a restaurant? It's not, I could cook that at home for less than 1 Euro plus the nutritional value isn't there, fries with rice and broccolli are not a decent meal much less in a restaurant that's not that cheap. When the person organizing the lunch confroted management about this, they said: "You should've brought your own food then" well, if we knew they were gonna serve us a crap meal we would've done...

Best Piri Piri chicken ever!!!!! There are many really great local restaurants in Trafaria, a really cool fishing village, and I've tried more than a few "frango's" while in Portugal, but this piri piri chicken was incredible! Good and tender service. Meat was a disaster as an entrecote should not be divided in pieces; some of the parts were lost because of the grill. In general terms, in Portugal they do not know how to cut meat. Salad was not good seasoned, oil but no salt, no vinegar. Good fried potatoes. It is acceptable but a shame that good quality products are not handled...
