Our FAVORITE meal, hands down, during our trip to Gerés! The restaurant is extremely charming but the food & service is the highlight! Pedro, who owns the restaurants along with his lovely wife who does the cooking, took great care of us! It was a joy to talk with him & hear his story. I have no doubt that anything you choose off the menu will be spectacular but do yourself a favor & try the Cachena! It is the breed of cow in the area & we've never had better meat. By 1:30 p.m., only two dishes were available: Cachenha grelhada and Grelhada mista. We ordered the Cachenha grelhada, but the meat was not as tender as expected.
