A really good restaurant away from the tourist area in which to enjoy authentic traditional cuisine. The site does not have the glamour of places prepared for tourists but it is not a problem at all, it compensates it with a very correct and honest treatment with its clients, and a great cooking.

We ate what was left of the menu of the day, squid and grilled pork escalopes, simply great, homemade desserts will not leave you indifferent, and to finish off an excellent meal a good black coffee (like an italian espresso, but more tasty if you enjoy the coffee)

In short, we recommend...

Amazing food at amazing price. Daily lunch menus are 11 - 12 euros, usually 5+ options, couvert + main + drink (like a jar of house wine) + dessert + coffee, all included, amazing - this is serving the community, I don’t know how they profit from these lunch menus.

You get to choose from squid, octopus, inkfish, cod, picanha/ maminha/ pica pau vazia, secreto/ piano/ costeleta/ pluma, and even cabidela. Fries are the best in town.

Moreover, seafood is fresh and nice, meat dishes well made, desserts are good too. Absolutely...

Good traditional Portuguese food at reasonable prices, especially if you order the Menu do Dia/Day Menu, which includes a main (chosen from a narrower selection and not from the main menu), a drink, bread, dessert and coffee. I had sardines and these were very good. Staff is always rushing around but are very friendly. Go early if you want to make sure you get a table when you get there, otherwise you'll...

Whenever on the Estoril Coast I have to take friends and family for a meal here. This covid virus has certainly killed the buzz and clatter and atmosphere but it certainly has not affected the cuisine of the traditional Portuguese dishes of Mastro. We throughly enjoyed all we ordered. (As per pics) This is my Mastro and I have now let the cat out - of one of my favourite hide aways. Nevermind - please enjoy.

A lovely local restaurant serving authentic Portuguese food. We had their sardines and sea bass as well as spicy prawns. The Tawny Port was delicious. Not much of a vibe when we went but the seafood is fresh and food is good for the most part. The boiled potatoes were a bit bland and the dessert options were limited. Definitely try seafood and the seafood rice (which is plentiful) when there.
