Botanique GuestHouse — Hotel in Cascais

I have to start by saying we usually stay in hotels and had a little trepidation when we booked our stay at the Cascais Lovers Guesthouse. All my concerns were put to rest when we got to the house. Sofia and Ala keep a great, clean, comfortable house. The morning breakfast is outstanding and more than sufficient. The outside garden is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or read since it's so quiet. There are two bathrooms that we had to share, it was never an issue, they were spotless and fully stocked with all the necessities. It's also a great location, only a ten minute walk to the beaches, as well as the main hub of many, many streets filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Ala and Sofia are very helpful, making arrangements for us on the phone for cabs and airport transportation as needed, as well as providing us with maps and pointing out places of interest to visit, they live in the property which makes it convenient in case anything is needed. This is a guest house but when the season of the tourists over for this guest house...the owner of this house (Dona Aline) gives the rooms for long term rent like if the season is over in october and until end of march or april she gives the all rooms for rents...she takes 2 months rent in advance and she does'nt tell nothing about what restrictions the persons have to follow for her...when the person already enters in the house...she tortures a lot a lot a lot..Me and my brother in law entered in her house on 1st February ...and she told us that she will give the house for four months..we said okay..after for months we will find another one.and she took advance for 2 months...when she started getting booking from the tourists she asked us to leave...there was not even single day when she didn't torture us...I was crying everyday...but was helpless because we didn't have the house..sometimes I thought to file a complaint against her but she has the same age of my mother so I didn't....But She is the worst lady I...

There's nothing to criticise here, I spent a wonderful week in the Botanique GuestHouse and it really lived up to my expectations. I had a cozy little chamber with balcony for myself and all the other parts of the house were shared with the other guests: a nice spacy kitchen, two clean bathrooms and one community room. There were no problems, because everybody considered their counterparts and the landlords were also kind and accomodating people.
