Updated 30 Oct 25: Ive been given the tourist menu prices several times in the last year. Let me explain: I show up with my wife and the waiter tells me that the price is €4 more. That’s what happened then sir. I have included a picture to show you what me, my little sister and my beautiful wife paid for, which was an abomination. I wish we had only paid €37. And you are also correct with the cocktails we ordered. I don’t know where you pulled those prices from, but we paid at least 45-46€ for all 3 pizzas according to the menu that was placed in front of us. Not to mention that the prices on your site is more than what you quoted. I think you should take that energy and put it towards improving your business. I understand that running a business is hard; I’ve been there my friend. And as far as communicating with you in person. Had we communicated with you our disappointments with the meal, you would have felt disrespected! I wish you and your team nothing but the best. I just hope you take some of the criticism that customers give you to make your business Great instead of what you think is good. Right now you’re standing out as being expensive and runny pizzas!
I visited with my wife and my sister on a weekday and the only thing we can agree on is that we didn’t like the pizza, here’s why.
We started with garlic bread, we dont recommend. It was really cheesy, dough was not cooked all the way through and didn’t taste garlic. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, medium size and the cheese was soooo cheesy. I’d pick my pizza up by the crust and the cheese runs off. My wife and sister ordered the pizza feta, small and their pizza consisted of a cheese pizza with small dollops of feta placed on the pizza. Needless to say it shouldn’t had been called a pizza feta. The pizza was also cheesy. The pizza that arrived at my table looked nothing like the one they show online. Some people pointed out that the price is a bit high, and I have to agree. Especially when you don’t enjoy any of it, but you gotta smile and act like it’s good. Only to take it to go and toss it. But Just for reference: 2 small pizza feta, 1 medium pepperoni pizza, 1 garlic bread and 5 mix cocktails €90. Clearly a lot of people like the food here by the number of positive reviews. We’ve just never had garlic bread nor pizzas...
Read moreAfter a while of pondering whether to write a review, I decided I have to get it off my chest. We decided to give La Gioconda a try after reading the reviews but I have absolutely no idea how people can say they make good pizza, nobody who ever had good Pizza in Lisbon, let alone Italy, can consider this a good pizza. It was extremely doughy, cheesy and bland. The first pizza I can remember that I actually didn't' finish. None of us 3 finished their pizza. It was expensive, awkward service, cold lighting and overall a zero star experience. Please don't pretend to be Italian in any way until you went to Italy for a good pizza. And by the way, one of the best pizzas I ever had, from a former pizza world champion in Vienna, is also not more...
Read moreExtremely disappointingexperence. I had been here a couple of times in the past and always had a great meal. On arriving, it was empty which should have been a red flag, but as it was early, I did not think much of it. The rump steak ordered came as a thin strip of shoe leather which was sent back and replaced with a very ordinary Risotto, as this was the only type of meat they had. The Hawian pizzas were dry with hardly any cheese, and the 2 junior pizzas, the size of a dessert plate cost a total of 26€. The worst 100€ spent in a restaurant ever. I will...
