I’m rating this restaurant as a Portuguese from the Algarve loving abroad and coming back yearly to enjoy local food and I’ve grown with. I’ve been coming to Infante since I was a child and it has never disappointed. The restaurant itself has changed a lot but it remains as traditional as you can get. I’ve chosen this restaurant to introduce my in-laws to their first Portuguese experience. The portions remain huge and a 2-person plate can easily feed 4 people. We had seafood “cataplana”, some delicious “arroz de lingueirão” and grouper, accompanied by a great “Duas quintas” red wine. Everything was perfect and tasted like my childhood. The waiters are kind and funny making up for a great atmosphere with other families around. Depending on the season you might find some big groups of tourists so it’s wise to place a reservation. Desserts are also quite nice and very typical. I’d recommend the “tres delicias do algarve”. Overall, a very good restaurant that was able to keep its quality for decades and adapt to the new times without loosing its soul. Muito bem infante,...

Wow. Possibly the best meal we have had in three years in Portugal, and in the Algarve close only to its sister restaurant Panoramico in Praia Verde. The facility is excellent, and recently expanded in a very pleasing way. The service is excellent from the moment you enter, and the teamwork is superb. And the food is delicious! The oysters were among the best we've had in Portugal. The Cataplana was gigantic and delicious. My wife's shrimp with orange and brandy was absolutely amazing. And my friend's mixed grilled meats was delicious. Then the dessert was delicious. With complimentary Amarguinha, we savored every bite. It's not cheap (relative to most Portuguese eateries), but it's the best in...

Regarding the food, the meat quality was acceptable, although the cooking technique left something to be desired. The sauces were of subpar quality, and the combinations were either unappetizing or downright comical. Canned pineapple and canned peach do not complement grilled meat effectively. The ambiance is below average and creates discomfort, although it is not offensive. The service quality was satisfactory, but our waiter demonstrated limited knowledge about the dishes on the menu. In terms of value, it's worth noting that the price seemed excessively inflated given the quality of the food itself, and it was certainly insufficient considering the standards...

Despite passing O Infante for 5 years, we hadn't had a meal there until recently. And it won't be our last visit either. The setting is great, staff are wonderful and the food was delicious. We had starters, mains and dessert and each dish was great. Even our son tried a few things we didn't think he would. The monkfish rice dish is so good and there's plenty in it to feed 3-4 people, way more than the recommended 2 people. At no time did we feel rushed even though the restaurant was busy and we'll definitely be returning. For a special meal we highly recommend O Infante. It's not the cheapest place to eat in the area but it's worth it!
