If you want real authentic local Portuguese food where lots of locals go to, this is one place you must go. The owner and his wife pretty run the whole place and we as a Canadian couple who does not speak one word of Portuguese happen on this busy place during lunch hours after our visit to the Palace of Estoi. The host speak English and help us in our order. We thoroughly enjoy the food especially the lunch special where we order fish ( pork chops was the other alternative) and it came as a 3 course meal ( salad, fish/pork, dessert and coffee or wine). The serving of the grill sardines was HUGH .... 9 grill fish for two of us!! and the taste was as Portuguese as you can get .... excellent! When the bill came we just gasp at it ....... only 20 euro for a 3 course meal...

Owner Wright's the amount due on the table cloth. Portuguese couple next to us shaking their head and making clicking sounds.
