Nau Catrineta — Restaurant in Faro

Well situated, good price BUT the worse service personal/waiter/owner ever. I just stepped in that almost empty bar amd was standing in front of the counter to order a drink. The waitress clearly saw me, but went looking around somewhere else instead of talking to me. I went for a second drink - same situation, instead that time she rather picked a phone call for 3 minutes... It is very slow, very unpersonal - the tipical behaviour in how to NOT make people come back, because the dont give you any positive arguments for that. Plus the restrooms are even worse than on european highways... disgusting!

I would recommend it to have a few beers - try to order them all together to not have to wait for the next. Also the ham&cheese sandwich was good - basic but good (the menu says "homemade bread"; could be true, tasted good!). The coffee was also very good.

The interior itself is basic wooden stools and tables. You also a view in direction of Faro-Airport, such as the beach. There are also billiard table, darts, table soccer. In case you're smoker, it seems also you might get cigarettes at this place. The decorations on the wall are licenses plates (mostly US). Also there a re other's like an RC plane hanging from the ceiling... Small details that gives it a comfy look.

The time I have been here, the owner(s?) have seemed doing self-entertainment by just talking very loud; not only bothering me, also other guests..

All in all, if you might find another bar - there are several more down the road (range of 300m) - dont come here, you will be...

Very cozy atmosphere, calm and chilled people in the service. Food is ok, good big portions for a very good price. And of course: great sea view, it's a beach bar. We had lunch there: Omelette Mista, Tuna Toast (which is a casual snack in Portugal i guess), fresh orange juice, some ice tea and a coffee for under 15€. But if you're searching for an exclusive sea food reastaurant, that's not your place to be. Getting some rest after a nice long...

A really nice place with friendly staff and good food. It is a bit further away than the other restaurants, but definitely worth the walk. On the other side of the building there is a little terrace at the beach with a great view over the water, boats, the airport and faro. The man recommended me to eat fish and it was delicious.
