Zé Maria — Restaurant in Faro

Ran by probably the friendliest and most attentive man in Faro. Service was really great, and the food was amazing. I originally wanted the tuna belly, but it wasn't available so in the end, I had the tuna steak. Price for the quality of the food, the view and the superb service is fair, and it comes out cheaper than most of the other establishments along the beach. Another plus side is that the patio area can be closed off when it's cold and windy, so you still get the view and feel cozy. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or come back whenever...

Arrived without reservation but place is Warren of seating, they found us a corner overlooking beach.

Squid Portuguese stile grilled not my favourite. But squid was fresh.... though not what I would order here.

Manager of restaurant came to take our order while on a phone call, and left while we were ordering. Sardines were alright but razor clams had a lot of sand in it. Rinsing sand off shell fish is standard and easy. I told this to the manager waiting for some simpathy either in words or the bill, but all I got was the price of the butters that we did not eat included on the bill.

It can be a good place to eat, the location is amazing, right on the beach. But it is a low effort place. Wine selection is also mediocre. Will...
