Távinho — Restaurant in Faro

What a surprise. Up there with any of the best seafood places in my many travels and quest for seafood, regardless of price or country. Oysters were the best. The freshest farmed and wild, old delicious huge oysters delivered just 2 hours before from the nearby area. The rice and seafood with a luscious sauce to die for. Took a doggy bag which we never do. Must try the muscles with garlic and the grilled whole calamari is amazing. Somehow the fish cooked in olive oil but tastes like butter. And wash it down with the vino Verdi with a bit of gas. Wonderful. Listen to the waiters recommendations, he knows his restaurants...

This was the only restaurant in Culatra (and from any of the islands ) that was eager to make us vegan food, the staff was superfriendly and they made us some superlarge portions of Rice with beans, saute vegetables with fries and mushroom ravioli with soja cream and super salad, to be honest it was best best vegan meal we had in Olhão, if you are vegan ir vegetarian dont think twice, but make sure you call on advance in order to have the best experiênce possible.

What a great find. The most amazing, fresh seafood we've had on the island. I recommend the fried shrimp...it's amazing and garlicky. Get an extra order of bread to dip into the sauce! The seafood rice was our favorite entree. We loved it so much that we took a boat back another day and ate there again. Our boys also loved the steak!
