First of all, when we sat down it was going okay the waiter gave us bread and butter we only took one piece but in the end we had to pay for all of it even though we didn't take all the butter the service was quick but don't let that fool you. My grandma ordered the bacalhau and I got the stake, the fries were okay but my stake/beef was so dry it tasted horrible! My grandma who got the bacalhau got a diffrent fish she said it was dry, wasn't the bacalhau she ordered, and nothing about it was good, I could say the same, the only thing that was good was litteraly the water, and the waiter looked like she definitely did NOT want to be there. I didn't have a pleasent time there and will not be comming back the only good thing was leaving. Watch out for this place it sucked, what the heck dude. Also it was 40 euros for two people and we had to pay for things we didn't even buy. 😐 MY first...
Read moreThis was hands down the worst dining experiences of our trip. Although we speak Portuguese, we were clearly treated as unwelcome tourists. The server’s attitude was shockingly cold and dismissive from the moment we arrived, as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. His assistant, to be fair, was kind and respectful — the only redeeming part of the entire visit.
We ordered the Bife à Fadista, which was extremely underwhelming — dry, bland, and overpriced for what it was. It felt like absolutely no care had gone into the preparation. Worse yet, olives and bread were brought to the table without being requested, leading us to assume they were complimentary (as is often the case in Portugal). They were not. We were stunned to find we’d been charged for them, and not a small amount either — a sneaky and disappointing tactic.
This restaurant is not accommodating to dietary restrictions (no vegetarian options, no flexibility), the menu is very limited, and the prices do not reflect the quality. We left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and ripped off.
If you are a visitor — even one who speaks the language — I would strongly advise against dining here. There are plenty of other places in Figueira da Foz that offer real Portuguese hospitality and better food at fair prices. This is not one of them.

Read moreDon't let the frosty attitude of the main server dissuade you, he's busy and serves everyone alone. But the food.....BOMB!!!!!! Wow!!!! The fresh fish comes from across the street (sea side), as does the BBQ chicken made to order. Skewer of shrimp and squid melted in your mouth, and the piri piri chicken lived up to the legendary reputation!!!!! Do NOT miss this place!! Ne mindful they are very busy, and closed between 3 and 5....
