CASA NOSTRA RESTAURANTE & KEBAB - PIZZARIA — Restaurant in Fundão

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening during a public holiday, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. Despite it being a quiet evening with only one other table occupied, the atmosphere was quite lacking. The decor was minimal – just basic tables with fake flowers glued to the wall and umbrellas overhead, which didn’t add much to the ambiance.

When the menus arrived, they were sticky with residue, and unfortunately, both the glassware and cutlery were dirty, which was disappointing. When we asked for napkins, we were given a sealed bag of napkins to help ourselves, and a box of Kleenex-style tissues, which felt a bit odd for a restaurant setting.

After placing our order, we experienced a long wait for the food. While the dishes were okay, they weren’t particularly impressive. The mutton curry, for example, had too many bones and was quite oily.

Went for a quick lunch with friends. All staff were sat around in their phones and it took one of us to go up and say hello for them to notice our arrival. When food finally arrived after 45 minutes the orders were totally wrong. Cold bland food was returned. We waited for the correct t food a d after 1 and half hours gave up and left. We asked to speak with the chef but he refused to come out. Very poor service and shocking food. You can also see inside the kitchen. It was a mess with dirty pots and plates piled up by the sink. 4 months ago we thought it was a very good, new restaurant, lunch ánd dinner were great with very good prizes. The staff were lovely people. We hoped they'll stay forever, it's our favourite restaurant in Fundão.

But now, 4 months later they're dropping the quality and service-level, this was the second time that we were given extra dishes without asking and they put them on the bill as well. Then there are many dishes on the menu not available and the last time they didn't even have beer. We hope they're gonna improve, but we won't be going back...
