Great Service, Sweet Francesinha sauce 😭 The first thing I have to highlight is the excellent service—our waiter was very friendly and attentive, which made for a great experience on that side. We came here for my mother-in-law’s birthday and all ordered francesinha with egg and homemade French fries. I love homemade fries, and these were very good (though they came without salt, which I personally prefer to have). The francesinha itself was okay—the composition was fine, but the sauce wasn’t to my taste at all. It had small shell-less shrimp in it (something I’d never seen in a francesinha sauce before, which was interesting) but the flavor was extremely sweet and the texture was a bit odd. Another downside for me was that the egg was fully cooked—I prefer a runny yolk so I can dip my fries in it. I asked for something spicy to balance the sauce, and they brought a spicy oil, which I mixed in to make it more to my liking. We also had bolinhos de bacalhau as appetizers, which were okay, and for dessert I tried their morgado do Bussaco, which was very nice. For me, the real standout here was the service. I wouldn’t return for a francesinha, but I’d be open to coming back to try other dishes—especially since francesinha preferences are very personal and others might enjoy it more than I did.

I discovered this restaurant by chance, as it was close to my accommodation in Rio Tinto — and what an amazing surprise it turned out to be! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions. I was with a group, so we had the chance to try several dishes: secretos de porco preto, tuna steak, salmon, and tripas. Everything was outstanding! We must come back to try their francesinha. Although the restaurant is small, the menu is impressively varied, and they offer a selection of beers that you don’t usually find in most traditional restaurants. On top of that, the staff were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Two francesinhas with chips and egg we're ordered off lunch time and they were good. You could taste the different ingredients really well. The chips were cool and the service was nice. If you like francesinha sauce based from seafood stew this might be your jam. The space is chilled and has a bigger dinner area for bigger groups.

It tastes exactly how I remember those special occasions when my dad would bring me here with my brother to have dinner. It's special, its tasty, and it feels like home. The sauce and the Francesinha are probably the best you can find in the whole country. It's the perfect balance of it all. Savory, sweet, and with so many lovely flavour profiles, it is what a Francesinha sauce should be. Nothing less. Nothing more. The Francesinha is well filled, and the fries absolutely delicious, pairing amazingly well with the sauce.

I recommend it wholeheartedly, and advise you to bring your own dads here and experience what's best in life. Having dinner with...
