Ilha do Arroz — Restaurant in Grândola

Either in this bar or on the other one near by it (on the other side of the beach entrance) service is given in very rude manners. You can't sit on the restaurant tables if it is not to eat (just taking drinks is not allowed) even thought restaurant was empty.

Regarding this specific bar. I went to the Balcon asked for two natural juices, 10€ (I can say price is ok). I gave my Credit Card to pay and after he (an old man, probably owner) saw that it was a Swiss CC he faked there was a problem with the payment terminal and asked me to choose a table that someone would take the drinks to the table. When the drinks came after 15m it was just juice from supermarket. I payed the 10€ and got out. Don't know if I was charged twice though. The body language of the old man seemed to me that I was screwed and the looks of the employees told me that something was wrong with everything. It was a very very very bad experience to me. Ilha do Arroz offers a lovely setting right by the sea, with a beautiful view that sets the tone for a relaxed meal. The staff was very professional and friendly, which made the experience pleasant from the moment we arrived.

The food was good, nothing to complain about, but also nothing that stood out as truly memorable. Considering the quality, I found it quite overpriced, especially when compared to other places in the region.

Parking was easy, although I imagine that could change during peak summer months. If you’re visiting at night or off-season, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Overall, it’s a nice spot to enjoy the beach vibes with decent food and great service, but be prepared to pay more for the location...

If it will be possible 0 it I will grant that. Food is safe but all the rest starting with people and finishing with the facilities are a nightmare. Unfortunately they keep their bussines only because the other great restaurant is closed on Mondays . No soap at the toilets and when you ask they don't care. No functional sink in mens room. You ask for reservation and they claim they do not have such a sing only to came at suggested time to find that they have a notbook with local people booked tables. The place is like a mega house for flies. The selection of fish on display looks like a nightmare from a hell...
