The food is good and fresh (congrats to the kitchen), however the service is a BIG comedy even tough it’s a casual beach restaurant. In comparison with their competitors they are WAY below. I would say: Lacks of tables management, adding poor service training, missing the details and sales opportunities. A few good tips: host should ask which table preference you have on the outside, when available. We have seen others guests been moved. You are not at full capacity. Don’t play games with your costumers only to manage better your walk ins. That’s rude. when a guest is arriving feel free to whenever you seat them, to bring ASAP waters and couverts (it’s already on you mise en place! Around 10 minutes is a joke) and get also the opportunity for pre-meals drinks even tough the costumer don’t tell if he would like entrées. Ask him. Try to sell. Give your personal taste to the complete experience. when serving the main courses don’t forget to change the plates before getting the food to the table!! That’s important and basic, not only changing the knife and fork, but changing the plates to main course as well… bring salt pepper and olive oil to the table for dishes that normally needs. Or at least enquire the costumer. That’s attentive. ask the costumer how is the food and the wine or so. Make him feel appreciated. don’t always change waiter during the meal. Been served by a few waiters. Only the sommelier / drinks waiter can be different as well as the runner. In long term it will make the service less intuitive for you. at the end make questions about the experience, if everything went on the expectation. When’s the next visit? Etc. when the guest is departing show empathy and try to engage in way he feels as an individual
Those points above written have mostly been missed.
(Good service by the girl that opened and introduced our wine. Very polite and effective.)
Will be back for drinks only. And that’s all
After this cringe experience I will not consider to send any of my costumers there. Poor experience at Restaurante Sal, unfortunately.

Read morebooked a table at this restaurant 2 weeks before my birthday to have a meal experience and the view or spot under the sea... When the day came they gave us a side table with very little view over the sea, according to the manager all tables were booked since May (someone with spectacular planning, we'll be there) and we had our meal in peace but I always keep an eye on the 2 tables that remained vacant in the expectation that they would give us as the manager said and that little hope it remained in my heart as when I was a child... What is certain is that our experience in this restaurant, aquaculture fish, price on the menu, the caipirinha was minimal. The value for this poor dining experience cost me good money. The 2 tables for four people with a magnificent spot under the sea remained empty until we left, 2h later. I naturally conveyed to the manager who created me the expectation that we could change tables if the other customers didn't come. I find it unbelievable, not only for me, but for the other customers who, having booked later on "Maio", cannot enjoy the best of the restaurant, a superb view over the sea. I leave the suggestion to change the restaurant for a swing facing the beach so that all visitors who visit that beach have the right to...
Read moreThere’s something magical about being by the sea — and Sal captures that feeling in the most authentic and joyful way. From the moment we arrived, my daughters said they felt like they had stepped into a real-life SpongeBob cartoon, and I couldn’t agree more. The setting is playful yet elegant, full of character and warmth.
Sal was, without a doubt, one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. As a surfer, I felt completely at home in the relaxed but stylish atmosphere. My entire family loved it — especially my mother-in-law and daughters, who were all smiles from start to finish.
The service was exceptional: friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every detail, from the greeting to the final dessert, was perfectly executed. And speaking of desserts — the dulce de leche cheesecake was the cherry on top of an already perfect experience.
After an unfortunate and rather disappointing interaction at the neighboring Sublime Beach Club, Sal truly turned our day around. What started as a frustrating afternoon became a beautiful memory thanks to the people, the setting, and the soul of this wonderful place. Highly...
