We came to this restaurant with great expectation, the English speaking waiter highly recommended us his fresh sea bass which cost 35euro/kg, we didn't like it, the waiter's happy face immediately changed to a cold turkey. Also, the waiter seemed to have only two empty seats in his head for main course, we ordered three, but we only get two. Even though he repeated the order, he still forget the third main course. We got a francesinha and a squid kebab, both of which spend 1 hour and the squid was over cooked. Thats terrible. At leaving, we were told to pay extra tax for the coke we brought (no other restaurant in the whole Portugal charged us this tax), and it was strange that he didn't tell us before the meal. Or he charged us arbitrarily just because we were foreign tourists. By the way, beware of their hidden charge! The waiter brought us the pre-dinner bread, olives and butter before we ordered, we thought it was on the house. But they ended up charging me extra for these foods, even if we didn't order it at all. It was really outrageous and a disgrace to Portuguese restaurants. There are a bunch of waiters making sure you have everything that you need.
They have a fixed menu price so the price that you see is the price for you having bread, olives, butter, drink, dessert coffee and main dish so it’s it’s perfect because you don’t get any surprises.
You just choose your main dish and you pay for all of those things when you buy your main dish so it really gets into budget it’s very good I would come here again if it was closer to my home.
