Sol Nascente — Restaurant in Lagos

Located right at Ponte de Piedade in front of the lighthouse and overlooking the ocean, is this gem of a place, where we had a relaxing lunch after a great hike. We had the bacalhau a'bras and grilled squid with vegetables along with some cold beer and really liked everything. The food was fresh, tasty, and good in terms of portion sizes. This place is very different from the fancy and expensive places you will find along the coast near the other beaches in Lagos, but if you are looking for a chiller vibe, with nice food at reasonable prices, do give this...

Decided to come here for a quick lunch while spending some time at the near by beaches, I made the mistake of ordering their ceviche but should have known it wasn’t going to be a traditional ceviche when the waitress said it was like sushi. It was presented more like a tuna tartare but lacked any flavour. Came with some guacamole under the tuna and on a bed of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes. We also ordered grilled pork chops which tasted better. I would order only grilled items from this place or stick to just drinks. Drinks were served...

We came in to get two ciders to take away and watch the sunset on the cliffs. One of the employees was mopping the floors and gave us the rudest look. She gesticulated that she was extremely annoyed at us for stepping over where she had mopped. A fellow employee laughed at the situation. The atmosphere was so tense and we felt so unwelcomed that we quickly grabbed something and rushed to leave. If you expect clients to not walk into your restaurant, then do the cleaning at the end of the shift, not mid day!...
