Food was very disappointing. My partner ordered a medium sirloin and it was medium rare at best, quite watery and no flavour, had to ask for salt. The steak was not cooked on a grill it looked pan fried.
I wanted to try the vegan steak as I only eat fish. The best way i can describe it was maybe cardboard. So dry and tasteless and they charge quite a lot for it although I got it on the tasting menu. I asked to change for something else which they kindly obliged and went for the salmon. Again this wasn't grilled. Ordered brownie for dessert which was nice and churros which were rock hard and over cooked.
The service was really good. It was relatively quiet and the decor was lovely. The womens toilet was a nice touch.
I think as a steakhouse the steaks should be near enough perfect. Not value for money unfortunately, very overpriced for the quality. However, again the service was good and staff...

Chef / owner had a restaurant in London. Now in the center of Almancil, where Restaurant Alecrim used to be. Very nice host and lady!
Beautifully renovated, inside about 44 seats, a beautiful garden restaurant at the rear and a terrace. An asset to Almancil! Nice decor, tables and chairs, linen napkins and nice glasses.
In addition to all meat dishes, they also have delicious creative vegan dishes such as mushroom croquettes, tofu cocktails and vegan chorizo sausage with pickles. And as main courses Cauliflower steak and a beautiful meal salad.
A clever concept where meat eaters and vegans can eat together!
And there's even vegan wine!
