O Nosso Cafe — Restaurant in Loulé

It is a family restaurant that might not say too much from the outside, but if you are looking for a friendly atmosphere, great food, good prices and fresh tastes, this is the place to go. We were really impressed with our dinner, it really exceeded our expectations. We had soup of the day (carrot cream), sardines as starter, cataplana for two as main dish and apple cake for dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS! The Cataplana is amazing and a huge portion with cod, salmon, prawns and clams. You should try it. We also had the traditional dessert (fig, almond and a traditional Algarve fruit) as a free sample from the owner and it was really delicious! So.... it is simple, great food, traditional restaurant (not fancy and tourist oriented as many of the area), friendly staff and affordable prices....

A hidden gem. Very straight forward Portuguese food, home cooking at its best. The fried prawns are a delicious starter, though you can quite easily do without starters as the mains are very generous. I had the lamb cutlets - 6 cutlets + Veges + fries! O Nosso was recommended by friends for serving really good food at even better prices. Full of locals and tourists like ourselves, with a great atmosphere. I choose the fish and my Husband had the steak. Both were beautifully cooked and the fish was huge, I've had much smaller in other restaurants and charged a lot more!!
