It has the looks.... but that's it. What a disappointment.... You find a lot of everything, lots of variety and almost all zero flavor.
Let's start with the entres. The ham "presunto" was hacked beyond recognisance. It seemed to have been attacked by a jackal. Lots of cheeses and seafood. The seafood looked fresh, but it had absolutely no taste. In the words of a famous chef : Bland!!!! F** bland!! Most food was like this. Tried the grilled meat and had to do the hacking myself. The sushi... well, the rice was not the worst I had, and the fish was tasteless, so it was rice with a topping or with something inside for texture... Whe would send something to the grill it comes with low seasoning and high oil content. The mushrooms ware close to inedible. On the other hand the sweet chicken was delicious! Congrats!
The ice-cream cones ware a success along with the chocolate fountain. Don't know if it was any good. The desert area was full with cakes (just like the ones you buy at the supermarket). Jell-O hyper concentrated for color and a chocolate mouse that only kids enjoy. The fruit was either over (pinaple) or under (melon and watermelon). The egg tart whas dry and a shame for such a great Portuguese pastry.
The service hardly spoke Portuguese so you get the food labels crossed and no one notices. The robot is a nice touch, kids love it. The cleaning of the table was nice in the beginning (close to 1300) and got slopy as it got crowded.
The settings could be improved. The tables are so close you bump into the person behind you every time you get up. The nests are lovely until you notice that everyone has to get up when someone wants to get seconds...
So. Great looks and atmosphere....
Read moreBack in the 90s, this place used to be a car tyre replacement shop called hyperpneus Michelin and wasn't even aware that this place was converted into a Mega Chinese / japanese buffet. As for the food, I couldn't eat as much as I wanted but I am a foodie so I tried a little bit of everything. I didn't try the suxi because I am not a fan of suxi or the lobster because I felt it would upset my stomach, but I did try two plates of their fried shrimp, rice, curry, few pastries, loved their banana sweets, sausages and 2 slice of pizzas and some other few stuff. Repeated the deserts at least twice, jelly some lovelly cakes, mousse, but you see so much food that your eye meets the brain, that you end up having your stomach overfilled way too soon. I just felt the food on display cold, but you can get your food also done fresh, and a robot will come and deliver it for you. All in all, it was a good experience as a first timer as you get to try a bit of everything without being cutting off. The trick is not to overfill your plate all at once as there's no tomorrow because your eyes will also eat. Max 2/3 items per plate and get another plate so you get the chance to experiment with every single item. A hint, I wouldn't recommend any raw fish like squid as it might upset your stomach. The best goodies are located in the mid section and remember "Eat with moderation" unless you wanna take a very...
Read moreThis is a new restaurant in Odivelas with a great atmosphere,( because is so spacious thus and the flow of people isn’t so overwhelming like the Oriente Restaurant), I hope with time this place doesn’t become a restaurant to avoid like Oriente Restaurant. At the beginning was amazing but after a little while became unbearable to attend thanks to the rude people talking loud and over the food without any respect to others. So far Go Chef has a good and polite atmosphere with a tasty and delicious food, despite the occasional lack of skills by the staff they correct their mistakes and gives a decente and respectful attitude towards customers. The robot delivering food is a must watch and the easy way of order beverages is an amazing way of speed up things. The decorations are on point. The details shows a lot of the thorough thoughts, put it on, by those involved in bring this place to life. The main problem is the lack of parking lot in and surrounding the restaurant. But, It’s definitely restaurant to tried on, at...
