Less than 10 minutes' drive from the busy dining options of Praia da Areia Branca this is a gem of a restaurant.

Our party of ten were seated with ease, and the service was attentive and friendly. With a mixed group of ages from 8 through to 80 we were all accommodated and tastes/requirements met.

The food was superb, and of a very high quality. Portions were very good, and the use of fresh ingredients was obvious. Everyone in the group was really pleased with their dishes that nothing was left. Oh, and the desserts were just brilliant; try the parmesan ice-cream; you'll be surprised at how it just works so well.

Drinks options are good with plenty of wine, beer, and other spirit options plus soft drinks.

We were excited to try Lourina's newest restaurant Prego ( Italian) as the owner Chef Tulio (and his lovely wife Juliana) had operated in West 23 for the past few years so successfully. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and the food is even better than we could have anticipated, clearly prepared with love and passion. Cannot recommend highly enough. We had Seafood Linguini and Steak with mushroom sauce, which Chef Tulio kindly served with French fries instead of pasta as my husband loves his fries 🍟 😋. A well-curated menu of high-quality, expertly prepared dishes will have us coming back for more, and the extensive wine list is also a plus. The chef and his wife, who helped make the Chakall restaurants here so successful, bring their expertise to their new restaurant, Prego. The chef's Italian roots elevate each dish.
