Montemor has just got even better with the fantastic new addition of a restaurant. The building has been lovingly restored to its former glory (as far as I can tell). It's so great to see that Joana has gone to the effort of reviving the interior. It has a kind of 1930s feel to it (again... ;) I'm sure it would have been cheaper to buy everything new 'Made in China', but it's so much better to support local businesses, right?

Read moreThis was the best food we had during our 10‑day trip across the country. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and chef, who created a relaxed and inviting atmosphere with music and friendly conversation. The chef went out of their way to translate the menu into English with real passion and enthusiasm, which made the experience even more special.

Overall, the atmosphere was warm, the owner could not have been kinder, and the food was the most delicious of our trip.
Highly...

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, clean, modern, cozy, with a decoration of impeccable taste. All the food is made with local fresh ingredients, some picked on the same day directly from the vegetable garden. The dishes are traditional Portuguese Alentejo food, with a modern twist created by the wonderful Chef Joana, who is the nicest person and guided us through this amazing experience!! 10/10 stars! I wish I could have eaten the whole menu, but the food is very well served, so I guess I will have to comeback asap to try some more dishes :D Thank you so...
