EDIT: CafeLab is even MORE wonderful than I originally thought!

They have a Holiday Menu, with hot chocolate (add a shot of whiskey!), and Caramel flavouring. The windows are adorned with nutcrackers, artificial snow, and a Christmas village! Come in for great autumnal/wintry atmosphere.

Armando and Ivo are still super personable. They know everyone by name. They share their story with their customers, about their lives in Dublin, and their dog. This is more than just a cafe. It is a home away from home. CafeLab is wonderful!

It is run by two lovely humans, who have great customer service skills! They greet their regulars with cheers and applause! They have a cunning sense of humour. They could speak about any topic.

Their desserts are delicious, from homemade brigadeiro to an assortment of cakes. Their coffee is even better, with options of throwing in Bailey's, Jameson, or even lemonade!

The venue itself is quaint. Old, hardcover books and potted plants serve as a centrepieces for each table.

But this is not what makes this place over the top! The proximity these guys have with their customers is insane! I'm trying to go there every month, when I'm visiting Portugal, and I have probably visited CafeLab 4-5 times the past 7-8 months. Today I was greeted with "Hey, long time since we've seen you" (probably 3 months ago due to holidays and whatnot).

I never visited a coffee place like that before! 🙏

Keep up the good work guys! I'm looking forward to seeing you expand to more places! -but promise me to keep that proximity 🤞

One of my favorite places in the area. Creative and wonderful vibe. Alright, here's an update as of 13 September 2025.

I LOVE this place! Not just in the "area", but hands down, point-blank, PERIOD.

CafeLab, and by extension the people who I've met that work here, make everything about the coffee ☕, pastries, food, and vibe, 1,000-1,000,000% better.

Would I move to the area just to make it my go-to coffee shop, probably. Would I Uber here? Done ✅. Take public transportation? Done ✅.

A great place for anyone, but this feels local, warm, and where you come to be part of an incredible community, not just for a sip and taste.

O meu Deus! This is a rare moment where all details come together for a special experience. The place is wonderful, and I agree with all previous reviews. You feel love, passion for coffee, absolute perfection in every little detail: decoration, colors, books to read at every table, and water for thirsty doggies. We tried Expresso tonic, and it was amazing. We will come back for desserts and more interesting drinks to try. Prices are the same as in all specialty coffee places and reflect the quality of ingredients and overall experience.
