Overall a disappointing experience. Kitchen did not follow our order, blend food, cocktails from machine?? Spicy level completely ignored when ordering. When pointing out that the food is not spicy at all, they first came back to our table with a regular bottled pirri-pirri sauce. Not until i pointed out to them a second time that i was disappointed, they actually went back to the kitchen to get me the real "house-sauce" Food is fairly blend, and sadly missing rich flavours. Tested their guacamole as well, and it was basically done with a blender, and not smashed, so very watery, and not chunky as it suppose to be. Also pretty tasteless. Was excited to try their cocktails since mexican restaurants always put effort in to their drinks. But was very surprised by the look of my mojito even at first glance since it did not look like any mojito i ever drank. It also tasted like lemonade?? Told them that i was not happy with it, and that i dont think there is any alcohol in it. I expected to get back my drink with added alcohol atleast, but could not taste any difference. Told them again that i was not happy with it. So they tell me that they are all "frozen drinks" and are not made by hand. They say it comes from a machine?? We never received an apology for the inconvenience. Even if we obviously were a little disappointed, no one ever came to check up on us or offered an apology.

Table next to us was so disappointed, that they only finnished half of their meal and drinks before leaving in a rush after expressing their disappointment.

I can give them a + for nice decorations and view over the river. But the overall experience messed up the atmosphere.

Place got great potential, but they really need to step up their game before i ever...

The classic tourist trap that is just becoming worst and worst every year. I know this place for 15y and the quality that once was not bad is now almost an insult.

The place is very nicely decorated and its by the sea which add the extra charm - these two aspects are my first star. Margaritas are good and the price is not so bad for the quantity - this is my second star.

The food is a joke, a TOTAL joke. This is the reason there are no other starts given to this place.

Guacamole is a dark green liquid - obviously a canned option - tasteless. Can you imagine a Mexican restaurant where, at least, 70% of the dishes have avocado as an ingredient using anything other than a real avocado? The breaded shrimp taco were cold and tasted like oil. The Al pastor gringas were ok. The food was served not even 5min after ordering which, once it got served, justify the poor flavor - it was all prepared way before ordered.

If you are vegetarian you have two appetizers and jalapeño potatoes to choose from.

Overall, do come for a drink and to enjoy the atmosphere and the view but avoid the food - completely overpriced for the quality and, even thou I understand we also pay the place and view, the least is to serve fresh ingredients that are prepared...

i was here three times. first time one of the employees shouted at me, because I went to the toilette without his permission. second time I was with my boyfriend, which was nice - we've been just at the entrance and the lady made us coffee which we could drink outside the restaurant right at the beach. when I was there the third time, asking for an iced water to take away they have been pretty rude telling me, they don't sell drinks to go. okay, I accepted that. but later the day, after the beach, I wanted to take a drink inside. they brought me two times the wrong one. after several conversations with different waiters they said, they don't have what I want (a golden tequila in a Mexican restaurant...!), I said that I will go then. the girl said okay and sorry for the circumstances. I left the restaurant.. but after a minute this guy from the first time were running after me, accusing me to not pay my bill. in the end I went back to get the proof of the barkeeper, that they have no golden tequila and I've never drunk anything. it was ridiculous for me and very embarrassing for this place... I cannot say nothing about the food. but customer service is minus 5stars! I will...

A solid, "sure-footed" choice for mexican food lovers. La Siesta is a pleasant and stylish restaurant with an exotic, latin spirit and delicious mexican food. The Burrito Louco (picture below) was delicious, and extremely well cooked, all the ingredients mixed so perfectly to combine a truly flavourful dish in a way that's so often attributed to mexican food. The spice wasn't too strong, more like a faint, soft feeling that complemented the food and was clearly noticeable. The desserts were great too, and i had a cheesecake that was simply delicious. La Siesta is not an expensive restaurant but id' say it is isn't cheap either. I payed over 28€ for the burrito, a soda can, the cheesecake and a coffee. It's money well spent, though and i plan to visit them soon to try other of their tasty recipes. Definitely worth visiting.

E as margaritas?
