We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious, with generous portion sizes and unbelievably low prices. What made the visit even more special was the owner, he was extremely kind and helpful. When we ordered, he noticed we might have gone overboard (we were starving!) and came over to suggest removing a dish, saying we’d probably be full. He was absolutely right. Fantastic place! High quality food at really affordable prices. We went there for lunch, partly because of the fine reviews and we never regretted! Simple local food prepared with a heart and a personal touch. Fondues seem to be popular there but there are also other options that we tried! Service was impeccable, wait times much agreeable. Prices are very, very reasonable and quite on par with the quality of food and service. Enjoy! Oh, and don’t forget to ask about the history of this 300 years old (I kid you not!)...

Este restaurante tenta ser uma cópia do antigo Novo Altair. Fui experimentar um dos pratos ex-libris do antigo restaurante e a nova apresentação e confeção nem se aproxima da singularidade, qualidade e inventividade dada pela anterior gerência. Por ter sido uma experiência que muito me desiludiu dei, em privado, a minha opinião e tentei explicar o que fez do antigo Novo Altair um dos melhores, senão o melhor, da zona de Lisboa na minha opinião. As respostas que obtive provam que esta nova gerência não gosta de ser criticada. Após terem dito que “felizmente já tinham uma grande carteira de clientes”, o que indicia que não se importam de perder um, remataram com um "Há clientes e clientes". Ora, não deveria um restaurante tratar todos os clientes de uma maneira igual, mesmo os que têm um reparo a fazer? Ou preferem que vão uma vez e não voltem mais? Mais do que o facto de ser ter tornado vulgar, esta falta de capacidade para lidar com a crítica, que no meu caso até foi construtiva, e aproveitá-la para melhorar conceitos riscará para sempre este estabelecimento dos meus roteiros gastronómicos.
