Food & Friends - Food Truck — Restaurant in Ponta Delgada

Was going through Sete Cidades to visit the lakes and do your typical touristy sight seeing and happened to spot this food truck near one of the main view points.

I was craving a burger so had to have a stop by. Upon meeting the owner I was informed that the Bifana was what I should really try. As someone who loves trying new food I happily agreed ( and ordered a double bacon cheese burger as well with it and decided to just split each with my brother.) While we waited for our food the owner, his wife and daughter were incredibly friendly and explained their origins. He and his wife met very close to where we live in the states. The whole family were incredibly personable and the food was made fresh as we waited. The Bifana was amazing and VERY worth deviating from my initial burger only plan. Amazing taste and fresh ingredients led to a great new discovery for me. The bacon cheese burger was not your standard burger it almost had a barbecue-esq taste which was very welcomed. Both were incredibly filling as they were massive and equally delicious.

Overall 5 stars across the board. From presentation to taste to portions to price and lastly to the lovely people working there. One of my favorite dining experiences in my week long stay...

So, this guy up here next to the abandoned hotel is amazing! He managed to create a good atmosphere from very start with only a few nice word! If like this would not be enough he has some delicious food! A very various choices! We bought initially one chicken sandwich but his fellow made a mistake and we got two portions. To be honest one portion is so huge that if you are not hungry enough then you are lucky if you can eat half of it. However, I told him I pay the difference as he was a gentlemen! He said no as is their mistake but I insisted and paid. Next day was still delicious that sandwich and really useful after a good thermal bath! So, if you read this then let me thank you again and keep doing that nice, delicious food which is really good even next day!...

Honestly this place is a must! We have been so happy that we stopped! The most amazing food, good quality, tasting delicious, great deal for a very good portion size. But as many special places is not the food only… the most friendly service on earth! We had our little girl with us, we have been given chairs to seat and food delivered to our car! We found out about hotel and the view and talked a little bit about life. And this make it very special. In the world when everyone just do quick transactions- there is this place, when you can rest, eat amazing food and talk to the most friendly people. Huge thank you for your help and yummy food today! ❤️
