There are other options in the village with large queues and rustic settings however if you walk to the harbour I would state that you will not be disappointed with the platter of fish that is on offer from this establishment. Having worked in catering I enjoy my food and appreciated the Joy, time and effort required to cook my outstanding flavoured Pexe.

if you desire the real freshness of the owner “ Jose” fresh caught feat then take the opportunity and indulge your taste buds.

I love fish and this is the best I’ve ever tasted and that’s why I feel other like minded travellers would appreciate the heads up . But of course enjoy your meal with a bottle of green wine and finished with the homemade Passion...

Small family run place that doesn’t even want to be considered a “restaurant” - the owner said he just likes to cook for people. Such delicious, fresh, and heartfelt food. We tried Lapas for the first time, like local mussels served steaming with garlic and butter. Then we had 3 different types of grilled fish - all delicious and flavorful. And then topped it off with a fresh baked local dessert called queijada - cheese and powder sugar and eggs and deliciousness. His wife made the cheese from scratch!! Lovely and warm owner. Great...

I give 1 star as the rating of this place is fake, should be closer to 2 stars. Food was terrible, our tuna fish was overcooked, the salad is just some lettuce, vinegar over the beans and olives tasted bad, the mayo was over date. Service was fine, but would paying 19 euro in the Azores for such bad food is just unacceptable!

I hope they can improve on these points and really cook some decent food...

We had the catch of the day: grilled tuna and grilled sea bream. Both foshrs were tender and well seasoned. The family running the shop were very friendly and polite. We enjoyed the simple local dinner and would come back.
