I would not recommend having lunch here: it’s better to drive a bit further for another restaurant. It took really long for our food to arrive, even though we ordered 2 simple hamburger menus. When it arrived, the cheeseburger didn’t have cheese and the other burger didn’t have sauce. They fixed it, which was nice. However; the food was cold (even after the correction) and especially the fries were really bad. They weren’t even fried enough (still raw potatoe) and they were cold. One of us asked for a simple salad instead of fries (which was included in the menu), which didn’t come with any dressing, olive oil or vinegar. That’s fine, but afterwards we found out that they charged extra for this salad even though we got it instead of the fries and it was super basic (couple leaves of lettuce, some grated carrot and some tomatoes). We didn’t get into discussion about this because we already had too much hassle going around for our liking. Worst experience on...
Read moreThis was the worst restaurant that I visited in all my 10 days in Sao Miguel. The servers were overwhelmed and tending to a very large table of Spanish people, they seemed to be jumping over hoops for those 2 tables and ignoring the rest of the clients. When my chicken salad arrived it was literally a bunch of tomatoes and 2 pieces of lettuce, some shredded carrot and a warm processed breaded piece of chicken. I had to get up and pick up my own salt, vinegar and oil to dress my salad as the server did not bring it. 12 euros for this. My husband had shrimp and chicken wings which were both very nice. Poor service, fair food, very overpriced, the decor is absolutely stuck in the 80’s, all of which of course wouldn’t matter if they treated people better. I won’t be returning or...
Read morePleasant place, with a nice roofed terrace. A bit hard to park, just a few parking spots along the road. Came for a late lunch, without reservation, and managed to get a table. Had a really good coffee (galao), a nice "Steak Ideal" in sauce with bacon and chorizo, and steak on hot stone. The steak in the sauce was rather chewy, but the steak on the stone was a really nice tender piece of meat. The sauces with it were simple (hot sauce basically Tabasco, cocktail sauce ketchup and mayonnaise, and a nice homemade garlic sauce). Could have used an extra plate for the steak on hot stone for easier preparation and cleaner eating (not having to put the grilled parts where the raw meet was previously). Staff kind, service fairly quick, all in all a...
