La Carbonara - Garajau — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

During our visit to La Carbonara - Garajau, we found the service to be adequate. While the staff could communicate well in English and were friendly, their enthusiasm seemed somewhat lacking. However, it's worth noting that they offered delivery service, which added to their convenience. The food, particularly the pizza, was just average, with an overwhelming amount of cheese on both occasions which wasn't to my liking personally. Although we didn't sample other dishes, they appeared to be of average quality. The ambiance, while occasionally noisy with many children, wasn't explicitly negative. We decided to come to this restaurant because of the good reviews. However, I was really disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered lasagne and it was the worst lasagne I have ever had in my life - it was just tasteless ground beef layered with overcooked tiny pieces of pasta, topped with a thick layer of cheese. You can get much better lasagne in the supermarket. My friends ordered seafood risotto and it was just a large portion of rice cooked in water with some pieces of seafood, no tangy taste, no broth, no cheese, just bland and sad. I literally don't understand how people can leave such a high review, probably their taste buds have been burned with...

Clear recommendation: avoid this restaurant. Looking at some rati gs and especially pictures in the google ratings, the owner or cook must have changed. The pics do not have anythjng todo with the pizza they serve june 2022! The personal is very friendly but the Pizza was one of the worst we ever had. The vegetariana pizza had all incredients out of the can. Also the onion and pepper. Even with that the pizza had nearly no taste and we had to order salt and chilli that it was at least somehow eatable at the end. The other pizza -a salami with extra mushrooms and onion- was the same...without taste. Every frozen pizza is about 5 levels better...
