O Márinho — Restaurant in Silves

Traditional Portuguese chicken that's a world away from Nandos. Chicken is served on the bone and parted out, not a huge amount of meat on them so one chicken per person seems about right.

Fried potatoes (aka chips) very nice and the tomato salad is full of flavour. We got takeaway which worked out considerably less than the dine in prices at €28 for three chickens, 3 potatoes and a large salad.

Service was efficient and polite despite our inability to speak Portuguese.

A few tables available to dine in at 7pm on a Wednesday but I can imagine it gets very busy at peak times.

From what I can work out they used to be where Franguinho do Sul is now and that's where their Maps pin is at the time of writing this, they're actually just down the road now on a nearby street, hopefully my edit will be approved and help people to locate their current location...

Hidden gem !!!! Stunning local restaurant with local people. Absolutely delicious meal we had. Although the selection from the menu is limited , if you like meat then you are in the right place! Very reassuring price as well. Special thanks goes to our English speaking waiter André ( hope I'm spelling his name correctly) . Very decent gentleman, extremely polite and very helpful. Very nice restaurant and location with free parking but the service was very bad, we asked for a table for lunch and the head waiter said we would be able to get a table by around 6 pm in a sarcastic tone, we decided to ignore the comment and I asked for a beer at the bar, my friend asked for a beer too and the waiters said she was busy to serve and only serve one beer...
