Nova Hamburgueria — Restaurant in Sintra

Place with mixed feeling. Interior looked great and staff was nice. But the food…. I went to the place with my girlfriend ordered first burger from menu and Irish burger. Portions looked good from looks. We started with fries and already there was something wrong. They looked soaked in oil and tasted fishy. Pretty sure that oil has been used to fry some fish food and can not say for sure but have feeling that fries has been warmed up for second time. Could not finish my plate even with help of ketchup. Then came the burger. While the burger of my girlfriend was reasonably good, mine was a bit too cold. And the main problem- the meat. It suppose to be black angus and bigger than the other burger, but in reality the size looked the same and also the taste of meat was really the same as my girlfriends burger. ( have to mention that price was bigger for this one). Also meat was really salty and tasted just a bit better...

PIOR experiência que tive na terça feira dia 09/04/24 A única coisa que se aproveitou da comida foram os croquetes. É vergonhoso como é que um restaurante que aparentemente teria boa qualificação foi pior que mau! O hambúrguer que escolhemos estava salgado e só sabia a caldo knorr (mas comemos na mesma pois achamos que até dava para comer), a sobremesa o Brownie ,como eles lhe chamam, devia ter 3 dias, (e o funcionário próprio disse que não era fresco e estava no congelador... nunca vi tal coisa num restaurante) estava tão seco mas tão seco que nunca vi uma coisa assim a servirem a alguém… Quando chamamos o funcionário a reclamar , disse que ia ver e nunca mais apareceu , ainda evitava a todo o custo olhar para nós. Após quase 15 minutos sem voltar à nossa mesa, tivemos que chamar a outra funcionária, que para além de mal educada , foi extremamente desagradável, ainda nos disse que nós não tínhamos razão quando tínhamos mais que razão , pois aquilo não se apresenta a ninguém! Colocam pessoas a trabalhar que não sabem atender ao público , e que são mal educadas e mal formadas! Um restaurante que não vale nada! NÃO RECOMENDO! (o comentário foi editado pois o proprietário teve a lata de ainda responder ao meu comentário e ainda me chamar de mentirosa... sendo extremamente mal educado.... acho de muito baixo nível a maneira como respondeu.... logo aí se vê que não sabe lidar com clientes... We looked up this place as we were returning to Lisbon from Sintra. It is located next to apartment buildings & has a very humble look on the outside. But once your inside, it’s really nice. Not very big with a lot of capacity but the staff is really attentive & courteous. The burgers here are exceptional. We had two adult hamburgers, one kid burger, & one salad. All were exceptional.
