O Garfo Real — Restaurant in Sintra

Our favorite restaurant of Portuguese food. We are going here for many years and I can say the quality of food is just the best and always on the same level. I have no idea why some reviewers give such a low star rating. I’ve been in many restaurants in Lisbon and this one is always fresh, big portions and how Portuguese food should taste. Their cookie cake is the best for me, it’s not the one with butter which I normally don’t like, it has soft cream like ice cream and it’s absolutely delicious. O Garfo is a restaurant from my childhood so it has a significant meaning for me. They always serve very good food also available as take away with the most delicious Portuguese traditional dishes. Já aqui manifestei o meu apreço pelo O Garfo Real, restaurante no Monte Abraão, Quelu. É tendo isso em conta que não devo escamotear o que de mau surge deste restaurante. Hoje pedi a entrega de duas doses de leitão assado, tipo Bairrada. Que vergonha! Se O Garfo Real não merece fornecedores deste calibre, muito menos os clientes do restaurante merecem comer a vergonha de leitão assado que forneceram. Carne sem sabor com algumas zonas mal assadas. A pele do leitão talvez tivesse sido estaladiça somente na mente de quem assou o animal. E nem vou falar do molho. Assim não O Garfo Real. Assim não. Não sejam vocês, por questões internas ou pelos fornecedores que têm a derreter o bom nome que ainda possa existir. O Garfo Real é o meu restaurante de eleição em Queluz. Mas há muitos anos.
