As tourists in Lisbon, it was super hard for us to find an authentic and price fair restaurant there, and not get tricked by tourist trap suggestions . We were lucky to have some Portuguese friends who pointed us to this great restaurant. We had a nice experience here, even though the location was almost full, we could easily find a table, with a short waiting time. The hosts were super kind, they spoke English very well. The food was delicious, the portions were big, the deserts were delicious as well! All these for a super fair price. O Pilecas is a hidden gem in terms of price/quality relation, very tasty and generous servings, friendly service, and ambiance.

The daily menu at €10 in the two floor restaurant attracts all kind of guests, which with the easy going service creates a very authentic and traditional pleasant experience, which is more and more rare to find in the Lisbon metropole.
